The food was terrible and one of our kids couldn't even eat it. We got one glass each of our drink of choice and no refills. Our waitress didn't even come back to ask if we wanted any refills at all. The food came and 3 of us got the same thing: the breakfast sampler which comes with pancakes, most of the time. Not this time! They told us when they brought our food out that they were making fresh pancakes for us but we waited and waited even after we finished our food and no pancakes. Finally our server came back around and we told her we wanted the check and asked if she could just take the pancakes off since we never gotten them and she said oh they never brought them? We said nope. She asked if we wanted them to go...uh. .no! Cold pancakes that we didn't have time to wait for now anyways because we were late for a reservation at a haunted attraction that was an hour and a half away. We had plenty of extra time when we got there but after sitting there wayyyyy past acceptable for the food we received to get there and then thirsting to death and waiting on pancakes patiently until we gave up, then waiting on our server to reappear so we could pay and leave, we were late. I will never eat at this IHOP again. I understand being overwhelmed but there was literally one table in the place besides us that has people at it and more than one server, and no excuse for the service we got. Oh, and I almost forgot, when the server brought us our check back after "fixing" it for us, and never once saying I'm sorry or anything to that effect, she did say I discounted that for you. We looked at the check and at the bottom there was a discount of barely over $2, and our bill was nearly $90. I assumed three orders of pancakes was a bit more than $2 but what do I know?! I know one thing for sure, you have fooled me for the last time ihop of ellijay. I will go anywhere else but there next time. One more thing before I go, everyone else in the restaurant seemed to have no problem getting their...
Read moreFirst time eating here and won't be back. We were seated in a decent time. While getting seated we went by a table that were waiting for their food. After about 15 mins to get drinks and put our order in they still haven't gotten their food. It took a little time to get our food but low and behold we got our food the same time as the others who were there before us?? I ordered steak tips med rare (didn't get med rare but weren't over done either) but wasn't hot, more luke warm that I did not eat. Steamed broccoli was cold and tasted more like store bought that you heat up in a microwave but needless to say was cold and could not eat at all. Only thing good was the side salad. The rest I gave to my dog. The other person in my party ordered the meat omelet that had maybe a handful of meat and the rest was hashbrown , mushrooms and cheese, which again my dog ate. Third party goer had potatoes and country fried steak that was only thing decent enough to eat. Waited for 20 mins to get a refill that I never got because by the time our waitress came by we were ready to leave and even then I had to get up and ask someone else for our ticket and to go boxes! Waitress at the front told me I had the tops upside down (which is a pain honestly need old style to go boxes that are easier!) and I told her I didn't care it's going to my dog because I couldn't eat none of it anyway. Think she asked what was wrong? Nope! Think we can get service? Nope! We were there for an hour and I only had one drink! Nobody came by to ask if everything was ok? Nobody came by and asked if we needed anything? Nobody stopped by after our food was dropped off. It was not busy at all. I know it's hard being a waitress but come on! Not to even get a drink during a meal is...
Read moreThis is the SLOWEST Ihop I have ever been to. There isn't anyone to greet customers coming in and as servers walk by and look at you standing there they don't acknowledge the fact that you are even there and just keep walking until someone takes pity on you and seats you. That is the first obstacle getting seated!! You will sit there for 10 to 15 minutes while you wait on a server in a rather empty restaurant to come and get your drink order. Don't try giving her your food order because she isn't ready for it yet. Then wait another 10 minutes for your drinks to arrive. This is while there are 3 tables sat in the restaurant. When you place your food order be prepared to wait 30 minutes or more. We showed up at Ihop 2 hours before our movie started We got our food 30 minutes before the movie began so we wolfed it down paid and left. Paying was loads of fun because we had to wait on someone to actually come to the register so we could pay. Several servers saw us there and ignored us.
Keep in mind the service was slow, the cooks were extremely slow, I think they were waiting on the chickens to lay the eggs for the omelets we ordered, and this is while the restaurant is virtually empty. When the food came out it wasn't even HOT it was warm at best but there was no need to complain because we would have been waiting another hour on food.
I used to work as a cook at an IHOP and this is by far the worst one I...
