Piolin Jr — Restaurant in East Hartford

Ok here we go i got to the restaurant at 5pm on mother's day didn't know that I was gonna be in a place being taken care by innocent and people that didn't know how customer service works inside the food industry, by 530 we had our drinks on the table and we thought that the 25 minutes that she said we were going to be waiting for the food, 1hr later my mom got her plate of food , and I said ok now we Will get our food also but it wasn't like that at all , we continue to wait for 3 more dishes we order , we finished our first drink , and ask for another one while we continue to wait for the food , my mom finished her food and we looking at eachother and still no food for us , another 130 minutes our food arrived but the waitress ask us is the anything else and we said yes where is the shaufa special we order 3hrs ago so she send that in , and just to say that other customers were going in and out with their food while we continued to wait , after 330 hours I ask for the bill and she gives me the bill and try to tell me that she had some free cheesecake comming and I said that we never order any ,in the meanwhile we got seafood special rice without seafood ,waited over 3hrs for our food she slaps me with a bill for over 135 dollars, and I said no way can u please explain to the owner that just arrived to the restaurant so he could come talk to us , nah he didn't even waisted his time comming down to talk to me and she brings me a bill with a reduced 15% and said that if everything was ok so I look at my family and said let me just pay and get out of here before I lose it , so I paid it and left no tip, but at the end I realized that after so many years comming to this place to eat and bring my family , they had changed owners and meesed up everything they had going when it came to customer service and good food ,now ill be coming to CORA CORA FOR BETTER SERVICE AND FOOD , I hope ya could read this b4 making the desitions to go to a place that don't care about...

I was very excited to try some new type of food, but my actually experience made me NAUSEA. First the menu had only some English on it for a few dishes. This is ok if the server could explain what the dish is, but she couldn't really explain them. So we decide to play it "safe" and order a tamales. It had basically all the left overs from the kitchen in it. Here is what we found in our tamales - Tripe - yes that is right intestines, 1/2 a boiled egg(not diced just half an egg) an olive with a pit, shrimp, chicken and either beef or pork. The menu did not describe what was in it or I would have never ordered it.

Next I received my food about 10 minutes before my husband did. My chicken was so over cooked when I tried to cut it with a knife that it would just shear off strands that had the texture of jerky and not cut with a knife. I was ok with this because the Tuca Tuca looked good. I started my meal and shortly after I found a HAIR in the Tuca Tuca. Needless to say my stomach turned.

One of the worst restaurant experiences I have had to date..They didn't have what is supposed to be their signature dish-rotisserie chicken..so settled for an alternative dish-steak with green spaghetti which the steak was overcooked and pasta was flavorless, was supposed to come with salad that we never got and had trouble explaining the situation cause no one spoke English. To top it off we had purchased a promotional gift certificate which we showed when we arrived but when it came time to checkout they would not accept it and when I asked to speak to the manager they said I would have to wait 10 min..20 minutes later someone who could speak english came to talk to us and explain that they only accept the certificate at their Hartford location even though the certificate says only good at the location we were at and that he was a delivery driver and there was no manager. Definitely do not recommend going there...wasted our time and...
