Jennifer's Ice Cream — Restaurant in East Haven

In an earlier review I stated that Jennifer's ice cream it's very good and I stand by it. The only thing is their staff, VERY and EXTREMELY RUDE. I went with my family to Jennifer's on Sunday and we asked one of the employees for a 4 scoop ice cream. The lady put in three scoops and for the last scoop we asked for the same flavor, she said she already had that flavor in the bowl and we replied "That's ok, we want the same flavor" when she was about to put in the last scoop the other employee, a male employee, said to her "No, That's enough" "we are paying for 4 scoops Sr" I replied, then he said, "it's full, no more". Then my husband replied, "that's ok, we will pay extra for it", at all this, this guy did not looked at us not even once, he directed his replies to the other employee and said "No, I don't care, it's full, don't put nothing else, is full". We left but I was bather by this man's attitude. We offered to pay any extra cost, yet he refused, it was like he didn't want to deal with us. I don't get it, the top was flat, I've seen it done before were they put the scoop to the top and it looks good with all the toppings and such. Anyway, you lost 5 costumers in one day, even my 8 year old was very upset. If you keep treating costumers this way, you will lose a lot of business. We went to FROYO WORLD and we chose the flavors, as many as we wanted, made it our way, less sugar, more flavor, and every one in my family were super happy. If you are paying for something, shouldn't it be the way you like it? FROYO...

This used to be my favorite Ice Cream shop. Today I go in just to grab a box of sundaes and a pack of ice cream sandwiches. These items are already made and ready to go. Boy was I wrong. We just wanted to pay and be out of the way. It was busy. There was 3 young ladies working behind the counter. First one ignored us. Second one told us we have to wait in line. We let her know we are not ordering. We just want to pay and leave. She says no you have to wait in line. There was no sign anywhere stating this. For the time she took to tell us that she could have charged us. So end of story we left and won't be coming back till there rules are clear and stated for people to see. Total disappointment. I used to come here almost every evening that they were open. I stand in a long line, I grab a pin of prepackaged ice cream and check out. Then on the very last time I will ever come here again, I do my same routine, I waited in a long line, grabbed my prepackaged ice cream walked around the folks getting scoops to check out. Waited there, for a girl to tell me I can’t skip the line and that I have to go back in line, I clearly explained that I didn’t skip a line, I just didn’t need fresh scoops and when she refused to accept my order and tried talking down to me that was the last time they would ever receive my business. I go out of my way to Branford now. It’s a shame, the ice cream is fine,, but I’ll never forget the obnoxious...
