⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As my wife and I wrap up our overnight stay in Lancaster, we stumbled across this little gem with a name that immediately caught my eye in a Harry Potter-esque way: Butter and Bean Café. (Tell me that doesn’t sound magical!) We both ordered the breakfast burritos, and they were spot on. Packed with everything you’d hope for in a hearty breakfast bite, with just the right amount of zing from the sauce. What impressed me most? The tortilla itself—perfectly made, sturdy but soft, so you could easily one-hand it without the whole thing falling apart. That’s a rare find! For drinks, my wife enjoyed a soothing lemon ginger tea, while I—being a bit of a coffee purist—went for a black coffee. And let me say, it was excellent. Smooth, well-balanced, and honestly one of the better cups I’ve had in a café setting. The vibe here is calm and cozy, the kind of place where time feels slower. My wife even pulled out a book to read, which tells you how comfortable it was. It wasn’t too busy during our visit, which we loved, though I’d imagine opening just a bit earlier (say, before 9) might make it an even more popular stop for early workers and commuters. All in all: wonderful food, great drinks, and an atmosphere that makes you want to linger. Five stars from us—we’ll definitely be back next time we’re...
Read moreWas having a great time just relaxing and waiting for my wife to finish shopping, I bought a coffee and a brownie to support the shop, I went up for a refill (thinking there were free refills-no signs specifying no free refills) and filled the cup 1/5ths of the way before the coffee pot started sputtering and emptied out. Once my wife arrived I went up to see if there was coffee in the pot to get a full cup of coffee and then leave and then the lady behind the counter proceeded to tell me that there are no refills and that they are 1/2 off. I decided to pay for a refill that would of cost me around $1.50 for a 16oz cup and she charged me $3.18. When I asked her if this was the actual price for a refill she told me yes and flat out lied to me. I made an honest mistake thinking that the refills were free since I'm used to panera and other coffee shops that have free refills (that's why they place the coffee and drinks outside of the cash register area) I was willing to support this coffee shop, but instead stick to panera and Starbucks since their coffee is a better quality anyways. Please don't lie to your customers for a measly $1.50 and please put a sigh specifying that there are no free refills included. This is the 1rst coffee shop that I have had this kind of experience and I have been to a...
Read moreWhat can I say? This place is INCREDIBLE! They deserve a reward, honestly. A drink I highly advise you to try is Parisian Mist. It left me utterly speechless and full of pleasurable bliss. They also added a creamy froth to it that miraculously lasted with every sip, unlike other places where it disappears after two sips or avoids you as you tilt the cup. As for the food, their Chicken Wrap is a taste bud paradise. I enjoyed every bite of it, it was nutritious (healthily sourced), and was filling. In the end, if you visit the place for lunch, try out their Parisian Mist with the Chicken Wrap, because they pair together wonderfully.
As for the staff, their joy is contagious! I felt at home and comfortable at once (and each of them has a beautiful smile, especially this one lady who was so delightfully funny. You can see her in the last photo to the far right. God bless her!).
I will say, finding seating is a slight challenge, but I think it encourages humorous socialization. 😂 I hope they set out more tables, because I think they are becoming pretty popular.🎉
Note to staff: You all are absolutely wonderful, and it was a privilege to be served by great people such as yourselves. I plan to come for a Parisian...
