I called a half an hour before closing and a young woman employee was hesitant to take my order even though they were still open. I could tell she was very reluctant and was overly expressive she just didn't care. I think what really aggravated her was when I inquired about home delivery. I thought this was a legitament question because residents are trying to stay safe and healthy but still support their associated businesses. Most restaurants and retailers have put different options in place for customers that are responding to the stay at home orders and health pandemic. At a time we are on house arrest we depend on hardworking people. The two employees I delt with were anything but.... I also explained to her I have been an essential worker through this whole process. For 60 hours a week I deliver medicine to major hospitals and pharmacies then supplies to residents all over mid Michigan. I do it with a good attitude every day because I know it's important in our time of need. Lastly, I told her acting that way is Un American. These are not the people that should be supporting our families and communities when we are so dependent nor representing the companies quality of service and values. The woman hung up on me and a second call was placed and Timothy Thompson, who is a kitchen manager, harassed me about calling his waitress Un American while I was explaining I was asking questions and trying to support the business and place a food order. Timothy proceeded to yell at me more as if his waitress was his property and nothing productive happened. He instead yelled and assured me I was not trying to order and then hung up on me as well. The last call was to get his name and inform him I would be contacting others over the situation again he hung up. Neither of the employees cared. These are not the people that are appreciative of their job when 20% of United States is unemployed and would be happy to be in their position. Timothy is an assistant cook manager and treats customers unfairly. It would probably be best he stays in the kitchen and does not interract with customers until further training. I would not want him representing my business. Rude unreasonable behavior and bad attitudes compose a great summary of my experience. The two individuals I interracted with acted out like 🤡 clowns and use caller ID maliciously. I hope none of the federal protection money went to support people and places like this and futhermore, when the economy reopens in Michigan bad business fail and it's the worthwhile ones that thrive. These individuals need to be in others positions where they have had to unexpectedly come home from college then work in essential services for long hours, have their world turned upside down and have to balance that demanding transition both economically and emotionally. I feel they would at least have some empathy when people call and just want service. We have all been through different difficult circumstances. If you support the efforts of hard working essential employees, love American perseverance and dont tolerate unreasonable attitude please thumbs up my review. I do not recommend going to this location in the future or supporting their current operations...
Read moreWent to Buffalo Wild Wings East Lansing tonight and came across an establishment that is so atrocious when it comes to the basics of hospitality that I was taken back. I arrived after the rest of my party and the two of them had not been greeted yet despite already being sat for 20 mins. The front half of this restaurant was closed and they had around 50 some guests in house. I understand it was UFC 319 but still only 50 covers and twenty mins to be greeted is not off to a great start. We then decide to go sit at the bar after waiting another 10 min for our waitress. Management is no where to be seen. We sit at the bar and wait another 10 min before the server who's section we were previously in asks the bartender, if he has greeted us yet? To which he replies "no" and then she informs him that we moved from her section. I gave her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she didn't see us get sat, up to that point. The young man behind the bar takes our food and drink order and brings back two of the three beverages. He forgot my water at first but brings me one 15 mins later. Another 20 mins and the food arrives, I ordered boneless wings with ranch. The thing that is there bread and butter. No ranch and barley any sauce on the boneless wings. The bartender sees immediately, infact he tells me that the kitchen or expo forgot my ranch. I would assume at this point an effort would be made to get said ranch, but I guess that was completely wrong as I finished my meal without any ranch or any effort to rectify the situation. Also very confused on why they would pay for a ufc fight and close at 12, but besides the point. I know a lot of this is trivial and one could even say nitpicking. I also completely sympathize with the staff, even with the mistakes they made it wasn't their fault. But I felt I must share this as the management team here is failing it's employees and themselves by not putting their associates in a position to succeed. They did not do this for the young bartender who took care of us who I'm guessing was new to bartnding. They did not do this for the young lady who had a table wait to the point that they felt they had to go to the bar for service. One of the number one rules of hospitality is you have to care. The management here does not care. They dont care about the guests being served, they dont care about the associates under them, and they dont care that they can't generally manage a restaurant. They dont care to do better and I hope for the staff working at this establishment they get new leadership that can actually grasp and implement the basics of...
Read moreOur party of 6 arrived at 5:45p and ordered at approximately 6:00p. Our waiter, Kevin, was inattentive, unapologetic, and required us to flag him down when we needed refills or wondered where our food was. Each pair of us ordered an appetizer, two orders of fried pickles and a queso. When it was 6:30p, I finally was able to flag down Kevin and tell him that 3 of us needed refills and that our silverware was 4 short and 1 of our forks still had food on it. I asked him where our appetizers were, seeing as how tables around us were receiving their food, and he claimed that they were coming out with the entrees but he would check to see if it could come before. Kevin went back to the kitchen and we watched him simply look at a screen and then walk to the other side of the restaurant. At approximately 6:50, we flagged him over again and asked where the food was and he claimed they were "traying it up right now". He walked to the other side of the restaurant and we did not see him until 7:05p. When Kevin brought out our food, 2 orders of wings were the incorrect flavor, and the appetizers that finally arrived we literally cold. I sent back the fried pickles and asked for fresh ones. Kevin did not apologize for the wait or incorrect food. The boneless wings we ordered tasted old and were not hot, just warm. We did not send these back as we had waited over an hour for food and did not want to wait longer. After about 10 minutes of waiting for our fried pickles, we flagged Kevin over and asked where they were. He said "oh they take like 7 minutes to fry, so" and walked away. Around 7:20 he brought out the fried pickles, which was simply the same pickles from before but the tray and ranch were now warm. This tells me the tray was put under a heating lamp. We did not eat these, asked for our bill, and promptly left. The manager we spoke to gave us was very rude and did not apologize for our cold food, terrible service, and wait time of almost an hour and a half. I will never be returning to any of the BWW restaurants...
