my go to frfr. one of my comfort places, i love love love the kimchi fried rice with chicken!!!! i come here a lot and have ordered a lot of food but i dont take pictures often and for all of them, but personally, i think kinchi fried rice and the cold noodels are must try for sure. everything is welly seasoned, it just hits. good portion as well. imagine u r hungry at night and u just so crave sth but u r not sure what u crave, then this is it, anything from this place will cure ur craving. i have not tried the majority of the menu yet but those i have tried so far did not disappoint me. this place is pretty busy all the time so the wait might be a bit long (again, also depends on the day) but after that, the workers there are really fast, quick pace and friendly. i also gotta say that i have gotten food delievered from here and it came it great conditions and taste just as good as well. vibes here are chill and cool af, its really hustling and lively. they r on a more fancyish side than some local lowkey restaurants for sure. this review seems so all over the place but the overall rating i would give is 4.7/5. i love it a lot, im biased but prob one of the best in east lansing

Charlie Kang’s: This Chinese and Korean Eatery is my absolute favorite place so far to come to for pork belly and duk bok gi. It’s hard to find good tteokbokki with a good sauce and you can’t forget the cheese. I honestly get these dishes every time I am in the area, and it never let’s me down. This place can get swamped and every time I’ve been here I got my meal to go and theyre usually on time unless there’s a buttload of people there. But just in case you don’t want to dine it, be aware of the times. It’s also part of one of the busiest streets especially standing next to MSU but there is a good amount of paid parking available. If you want non –paid parking you’d have to ask around because I’ve never been able to find one close enough. On one of my trips back I did try their ,”kalbee,”and I thoroughly enjoyed that as well, it had a good meat to fat ratio. FYI, I like fat. Try any entrée, they come with a side of rice, all set. Someday I hope I can venture off and try something new off this menu, but maybe when I get tired of the grilled belly and cheese noods.

If you're in search of an extraordinary culinary adventure that will transport your taste buds to the heart of Asia, look no further than Charlie Kang's. This Asian restaurant is not just a dining experience; it's a journey through a world of exquisite flavors and impeccable service that left me utterly spellbound.

From the moment I stepped through the restaurant's doors, I knew I was in for something special. The ambiance at Charlie Kang's is a harmonious blend of modern sophistication and traditional Asian charm. The warm, dimly lit interior exudes an inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The subtle, soothing music in the background creates a perfect backdrop for the meal to come.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the food. Charlie Kang's menu boasts a tantalizing array of Asian dishes that will satisfy every palate. Whether you're a fan of Thai, Chinese, Japanese, or Korean cuisine, there's something here to please everyone.

I started my culinary journey with the Crispy Spring Rolls, and they set the bar high right from the beginning. The delicate, perfectly fried rolls were filled with a medley of fresh vegetables and served with a delectable dipping sauce that danced on my taste buds.

The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the Korean BBQ experience. The expertly marinated meats, cooked tableside on a sizzling grill, were a true spectacle. The tender, flavorful cuts of beef and pork, combined with an array of dipping sauces and sides, created a symphony of flavors that I won't soon forget. It's an interactive dining experience that encourages conversation and connection with your fellow diners.

The sushi at Charlie Kang's deserves a special mention. Each piece was a work of art, with the freshest ingredients carefully crafted into bite-sized delights. The Dragon Roll, in particular, was a masterpiece of taste and presentation.

The attentive and knowledgeable staff at Charlie Kang's added another layer of enjoyment to the evening. They were more than happy to guide me through the menu, explain the cooking techniques, and suggest pairings for my meal. The service was prompt, and my water glass was never empty.

To cap off this memorable dining experience, I couldn't resist indulging in a dessert. The Mango Sticky Rice was the perfect ending to an exquisite meal. The sweetness of the mango combined with the creamy coconut-infused rice was a delightful conclusion to my culinary journey.

In conclusion, Charlie Kang's is more than just a restaurant; it's a gastronomic oasis that celebrates the rich diversity of Asian cuisine. The impeccable service, the warm ambiance, and, most importantly, the unforgettable food make it a must-visit destination for any food enthusiast. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking to treat yourself to an extraordinary meal, Charlie Kang's will exceed your expectations and leave you with memories to savor for a lifetime. Don't miss the chance to embark on this culinary adventure; your taste buds...

I came here for the first time expecting quality Chinese food based on the reviews... I was sorely disappointed. I ordered 2 entrees and an appetizer. The app was 2 egg rolls - pork. They were ok, but nothing special. The entrees were very upsetting. I ordered the sesame beef which came with rice and broccoli. There were 2 pieces of broccoli and I'm not even sure if I got beef because there was so much breading... I think I got chicken? That's a weird thing to be unsure about and made me uncomfortable to eat it. It had almost no flavor that I ended up dumping tamari/soy sauce on it to make up for it. I didn't even finish it before throwing it away because of the disappointment in what I got for my money. We also ordered the Kung Pao chicken. It was only mildly spicy which is not what you expect with typical Kung pao and also since the menu shows a 🔥 fire icon, we expected SPICY. It had a decent amount of veggies compared to my dish, but we were surprised that the chicken wasn't breaded and it had almost NO flavor whatsoever. My husband also did not finish his food and just "gave up" trying to enjoy it. All in all, I will not eat here again and can only hope that this review will remind them that quality supercedes all else when it...
