4/6/2024 update to my original review: I went here yesterday and received a warm, practically hot, completely under blended smoothy. This was the second time recently that this happened and will be the last. I considered going back in this time to let them know that this smoothy was disgustingly warm but figured it wasn't worth it because they already knew they gave me a warm smoothy since that is how the person who made it handed it to me. She was holding it before I was holding it so how could she not have known? Anyways, I seriously question their safety procedures for food here. The fact that they aren't keeping their fruit on ice for a fresh smoothy is weird and it is even weirder that they are keeping it in a warm/hot area. Like, couldn't she feel it was warm, edging on straight up hot in her own hands? Doesn't she know that smoothies are cold or at least room temperature? And not warm? I mean really, how did this person manage to make a hot smoothy? And it was not even the first time, it was the second time in 3 weeks that this has happened to me... I just figured the first time it happened it was a fluke. Maybe they were having a tough day. I wanted to not pass judgement and I still wanted to go back after the first time it happened because I like supporting local businesses and usually their smoothies in the past have been good. I attempted to drink it because I didn't want to waste $11 but couldn't manage 3 full sips of it because I kept getting weird chunks of possibly spirulina stuck in the straw and the smoothy was HOT so it was pretty bad. It was the "blue moon" smoothy and it used to be my favorite smoothy in the area. After two times of a bad smoothy in the last few weeks, I'm chosing to not spend my money here anymore. This place has changed and it is really a shame because they used to be great. Would not recommend anymore.
Original review: Love this place. Everytime I go here I receive fresh and delicious food and smoothies. Everything always tastes great and the folks that work there are always friendly to me. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for fresh, delicious, and healthy food. A bit expensive but 100% worth the cost...
Read moreThis place is AMAZING! I am still sort of in shock. I happened to drive by and decided to check it out because:
A) East Longmeadow isn't exactly know for their contributions in health focused and fruit/vegetable based cuisine, so it totally stands out. B) Their pun game is strong AF.
So I walked in and the place seemed cool, nice people working, fun colors, clean. Not knowing what to order I did what any normal person would do and just ordered what the person in front of me ordered. This happened to be Berried Up to Here which is obviously another great pun but--as it turns out--a far better smoothie.
While a simple combination, the almond milk was a great base for the fruit/greens combo. The sweetness of the fruit balanced the bitterness of the greens and the almond milk comes in like your favorite rug that really ties the room together.
Anyways...I never write reviews and I never go to smoothie shops, the former because I'm lazy and the latter because they are usually insanely overpriced and of lesser quality than I can make at home. This place is on point and absurdly affordable. If you've made it this far before going, nice...
Read moreI would like to start by saying I have never left a bad review anywhere in my life but I am so disgusted I am writing this on my husbands account bc I dont have gmail. My family of 5 plus a dog are traveling to New Hampshire from Georgia and we stopped at a rest stop in MA that had a farmers market. Myself and the kids went to use the bathroom while my husband walked the dog. He went to get the dogs bowl and water (which was chilled in the cooler) out of the car when the man working your booth yelled at my husband for being an “awful dog owner” bc he had the dog on the pavement of the parking lot, then proceeded to tell him to go inside and just buy a water. Doing that we would be adding more plastic to the environment and have to leave the dog in a hot car. The sad part is the kids wanted to purchase juices at the stand when we returned to the car. I like to support local small business because they usually care about the community and world they live in. Not supporting...
