Absolutely pathetic.
I am a regular at this restaurant, often going in and spending around $10 a day on lunch. This is during my lunch break at work. I have been doing this for a number of years, despite the quality of food, and disposition of the workers going significantly downhill. Regardless, I have tolerated the shrimp tails left on shrimp in my pasta, overseasoning over mayoing, thumb dents in my sandwiches, slow service, long lines, cramped dining area, reused food, meager cooler selection, and lukewarm coffee.
The coffee is what brings me to my point. A few days ago, I continued my usual routine of getting lunch, eating it in my car, then heading back to work, except on this day, I have about ten extra minutes left on my break so I took the opportunity to go back inside and get a cup of coffee. I pour and fix my coffee before getting in line, as per their system. I get in line, wt about 5 minutes for the exceptionally slow service, arrive at the register for the complimentary, pre-cashout nose blow, and get rang up. Upon presenting my debit card, I am informed that I may not use it for purchased under $5. I explain that I only have my debit card, still, refusal. There is now roughly a line of about 7 people behind me, and still, refusal. I struggle to attempt to find $3 worth of whatever to fill out the price, and play into their hand, but I refused, saying they might as well throw the coffee, as I only have my debit card. No sign informed me of this "policy" and thus I was left holding the bag. They ended up taking the hit, after informing me that I ought to have purchased the coffee when I had originally gotten my lunch, 10 minutes prior to this lovely event.
EMBARRASSING! I will not be going back to this sess pool of a "Deli". I worked in restaurants for 15 years, never have I seen someone left twisting in the wind like I was. No business that does that to their regular customers deserves business or compliments above a skeptically critical level. shame on Frigo's, they lost me...
Read moreDisappointing does not adequately describe how I feel about catering at East Longmeadow Frigi’s. I ordered $900 of food for my daughter’s engagement party in early September….ill address what was wrong first…. Caesar salad…leafy green lettuce (not romaine) with black olives ( black canned olives) along with a half container of blue cheese dressing and half a container of Italian dressing ( no seasoned croutons no Caesar dressing no fresh Asiago cheese). Ordered a huge fruit salad ( they forgot this item completely) Ordered utensils for each dish ( not included at all, apparently they forgot).
The international cheese and fruit platter was disappointing and mostly discarded after the party. 4-5 strawberries of questionable freshness and one small pathetic bunch of grapes. My bad for assuming some type of cracker would be included!
Did I get charged for all items? Yes I did. When I called Frigo’s catering they offered a weak I’m so sorry and a refund. My daughter’s engagement party!!! For 30 guests!
The eggplant parmigiana was delicious. Unfortunately it was the only thing my guests enjoyed.

Read moreDo not use their online ordering. On December 15th I placed an order to be picked up at 11:00 a.m on December 25th. A tray of Lasagna, grilled vegetables, Frigo' s chicken and ziti and 2 salads. A family dinner. I receieved an order confirmation via email and my credit card was charged on December 16th. When I went to pick up the order at 10:55 a.m. I found their doors locked, noone on premises and noone answering phones. I tried the Springfield, William street location and phone number to no avail. Frigo's never cancelled my order, did not email or phone. They did not credit my credit card till I contacted them. When I was finally able to speak with an actual Frigo's employee on December 27th I was told ,"everything's closed on Christmas and we had alot of orders to process on the 24th." Why they took my order, had nothing on their website at the time indicating holiday hours is a mystery. The one star is for the $50.0 gift card I was offered.
