La Carreta is a small, but not too small restaurant in an adorable area of East Los Angeles. Inside it is cute, there is plenty of seating and they keep it ever so clean.
The service here is amazing. They take good care of you and will explain the menu to you. There were a few things of which I was not familiar, and it was explained so well and of course we tried it. Yum.
This is a family owned place and I am not sure but I think one of owners was our server. She was just so lovely.

They serve to order and don’t skimp on the quality or quantity! The owners do it right! They do close early so don’t expect to stroll in at 5 pm! I especially love that they serve breakfast all day long!
This place is small and is hopping at the usual busy hours, breakfast, at lunch and especially on weekends! So you might have to wait a bit. But it’s worth the wait!
Imagine a delicious Mexican home cooked meal that your Grandmother dished out! That’s what you’ll find here! They even offer smaller portions for kids!...
