went to niantic for the day. I had looked ahead online for a place to eat. was pleasantly surprised to see a wood fired/brick oven pizza type place there. I was looking forward to eating here and WAS NOT disappointed. greeted by a friendly person in a clean environment with gentle music playing overhead. the menu has other items besides pizza but pizza is the main thing and they make it the main thing. the server, besdies being friendly was knowledgeable and skilled. all at one time handled five in person customers along with walkins and phone calls. I knew ahead of time that I was ordering the sausage combo pizza. the crust had the right amount of smokey char-ness to it, was thin and not soggy. along with sausage this pizza had onions and peppers. the onions/peppers were not thickly sliced and just thrown on top, they were thinly sliced and placed inside the cheese. this made the sausage flavor stand out with the onions and pepper playing the accent flavor as they should be. it was so good I had to speak with the owner. he was gracious and humble in receiving my praise. it is such a shame that I live 1:30 hours away. or I guess it is good because I would be spending way too much time/money there. if I ever head back around there, I will most definitely eat there again. thank you for a...
Read moreA great way to end a day by the shore…VINCITORI Apizza, Niantic, CT!!!! My husband and I stopped in for a pizza on our way home. We were greeted by an extremely friendly young man. We sat and he instantly brought over menus. Water was brought to us right away-we didn’t even have to ask. Now, first of course we had an appetizer…meatballs with sauce and ricotta cheese. Oh my goodness, what a treat. Then we had a buffalo chicken pizza. Without giving any secrets, if you really enjoy buffalo chicken pizza, this is the place to go hands down!!! They have a terrific version of this great pizza! Like my husband told our wonderful waitress “this has ruined buffalo chicken pizza for us anywhere else”! They should have a food critic visit like Mystic Pizza! Throughout our meal the place was really busy but the staff wasn’t even phased. Same bright smiles and politeness to all. We spoke with the manager to let him know personally what a great dining experience we had, that his staff was great and the food was amazing!!! Thank you so much VINCITORI Apizza,...
Read morethe food service business has been my life for 50 years .my grandson and I went to this establishment, Sept 2, 2025 8:20 PMto enjoy a meal. My grandson had the garlic focaccia, myself, I had meatballs in a marinara with ricotta cheese. The meatballs were about 80° And by food law should be served at 135 or so and the ricotta was serve cold on the same dish. I asked if they could be put in a Dish to be reheated I was told by the manager that we don’t do that here. they offered to get me warmer meatballs, but I decline I think in the food service world unfortunately the customer is always right. at least that’s what I was taught And I watched the staff members take a tip that should’ve went into the jar and pocketed it himself. Unfair to the staff. I personally gave my waitress five dollars for $15 meal knowing that it would go directly to her. If there’s any rebottle, please let me know I’d be more than happy to give you my email and discuss this matter with the...
