Fields of Pizza — Restaurant in East Moline

Nice, clean place with very good, "quad city" style pizza similar to Harris and Wise Guys.

I'd give it 5 stars except they kept running out of fried chicken ( although that was in part because some of the people in the line each took 3 pieces at a time ). The cashier said this is a common problem. I wish they had a sign that said to take only one piece of chicken at a time.

We went to the all-you-can-eat lunch buffet ($ 9.00 for adults). Soda pop is extra. It includes a small salad bar, two kinds of soup/chili, and moist, tasty fried chicken.

There was a steady supply of multiple kinds of pizza; today included a garlicky white-sauced bacon and cheese macaroni pizza, taco, vegetarian, bbq chicken, supreme, sausage, sausage and pepperoni, pepperoni, cheese, Canadian bacon and pineapple, and others. They also had one dessert pizza and a cheesy bread with dipping sauce.

Today we were there at the peak lunch time of 11:30 to 12:30 and the restaurant was filled. By 12:30 the place was only 1/3 filled, and there was ample fresh chicken and pizza in place. We usually try to get there earlier our later than that peak lunch hour.

Thursdays are 'free drink day', so your soda pop would be free.

Went to get pick up a pizza was told that I couldn't pay until their computer systems were back up, I asked how long, they didn't know. I asked how long they'd been down "for about 20 min". Are you doing anything to you fix it? Just waiting. They didn't ask me for cash, or offer an estimate of time, three hostesses and the manager standing around waiting. I asked what they were going to do and the manager said she'd give me 3$ off my pizza whenever I could actually pay for it which was a big question mark. I'm not going to wait for a cold pizza or one sitting in the window under the warmer for an hour. I get things happen, so cut your losses and keep a customer, don't roll your eyes and offer me $3.00, Amber. Also, I heard you bad mouthing me as I walked out saying I was late to pick up my pizza. The pizza is decent despite being fairly overpriced, but I'm 1/5 on getting the correct pizza, and somehow have spent 20-30 minutes in the shop for 4/5 pizzas despite always arriving on time. I came back this time as I didn't get the bacon I asked to add on the pizza, and requested a partial refund for the upcharge; the poor kid working the register came back after talking to whoever was in charge at the time, and I was told it's "only a small amount" for the upcharge before getting a blank stare.

It doesn't matter what the amount is; you charged me for something and didn't give it to me. Go somewhere honest, go somewhere better, go...
