Yen Ching Express — Restaurant in East Moline

The people who work there were very kind and sweet. But unfortunately the quality of the food is mediocre. I enjoy my cheap American-Chinese food, but the food we ordered was so bland. We ordered the sesame chicken and cashew chicken. The veggies tasted fresh, but the sauce lacked so much flavor. The chicken was soggy and slimy. The crab Rangoon didn’t taste like anything besides cream cheese and thick breading. I didn’t feel good (stomach) after eating the food here. Unfortunately I would not come here again, it is cheap and you get a fair amount. I’m only giving 2 stars because of the awesome employees. But I would rate the food alone as 1 star, the quality of the food is just not good, hopefully changes will be made...

Haven’t been here is years. Decided to try again. Was very disappointed. I got combination fried rice, it had absolutely no flavor, like none at all. The meat texture was mushy and didn’t taste seasoned either. Very bland and not good whatsoever. My daughter got shrimp lo mein and she said it was ok but the shrimp are tiny. Egg rolls weren’t too bad. Crab raggoon was probably the best tasting part of our dinner but there was so much won ton and hardly any filling. For $20 I was not satisfied and definitely will not go back. Thought I’d re-try but it was a mistake. Where is the flavor and seasonings? Disappointing....

When I say down in the booth, I hit my head hard on a wooden case on the wall. I told the cashier and he not only didn't ask if I was ok, but said that no one else has done that. I replied that maybe they just didn't say anything? He should've shown concern, but was rude. Then he and the cook conversed in another language, laughing often! My food was quite bland, not having flavor like it did prior when the previous owners ran it. My table was sticky, the soy sauce & salt shaker were dirty. I used to like eating there, but no more.
