Courts Empanadas — Restaurant in East Orange

First time patronizing this new place today. I ordered the oxtail, spinach and artichoke and honey jerk chicken empanadas. 4 for $25 bundle. First, I really like empanadas. The crispy and chewy texture of the empanada ❤️ There was one big chunk of artichoke, a lot of cheese and 3 spinach leaves👎🏽 I had to remove the artichoke and squeeze out the excessive amount of cheese. But it was delicious. That's just my preference to balance the amount of ingredients in the empanadas. The oxtail was delicious and saucy. Be prepared for sauce to drip all over while eating this empanada 😋 The honey jerk chicken was slightly juicy and spicy! The side of honey garlic sauce was sweet and savory. A nice combination for dipping the empanadas into. Overall, I'm very pleased with the quality of the empanadas I ordered 👍🏽 Be patient because it takes time to prepare food fresh. Food is good but the customer service in the front has got to improve! The girl doesn't seem to want to do her job. I ordered two empanadas, one shrimp one salmon last Sunday and waited 20+ minutes for them. There were three people that came in and left BEFORE me. Although there was a girl in the front with reddish pinkish type hair, i didn't get recognized until who I believe was the cook from the back to walk up to the front and notice me sitting there. She asked if i placed an order and what was it and immediately got to it. The girl in the front said sorry because she mistakenly forgot to bring my ticket to the back. First time here at Courts empanadas, saw them on my fyp on tik tok had to try them! Let me say 5 stars isn’t enough I ordered $100 worth of empanadas and they all were AMAZING 🤩 the service was amazing I was scared I had to wait in a long line but I didn’t, the girls at front was very nice and very patience with me because I was asking a lot of questions and changing my order but they were helpful. My favorite empanadas was the Garlic shrimp and buffalo chicken honestly they were all very good but those two with the strawberry lemonade was something special. My only complaint is that the sweet chili sauce spilled all in the bag and I didn’t get a ranch. But the empanadas can stand alone without it!
