Today, I needed breakfast and coffee. I went to the East PA location store in Ravenswood Plaza at 10:50 am. Their breakfast menu did not show the Heart Healthy option of a breakfast muffin with ham and egg white, so I asked what was the cost for this sandwich and if there was a calorie count listed anywhere.
The cashier was Brenda G. She remained silent and did not speak to me though I asked her repeatedly if I could have this sandwich and cost. She stared at me and glanced at her coworker with a smirk, but no response on the price. Exasperated, I asked her if she spoke English. She said spitefully that on the last occasion I visited, I asked her the prices of some sandwiches and did not order any.
As I recollect, on the last occasion two months ago, the lighted wall menu kept changing and I could not get a fix on price or calorie count. It matters a great deal if something is 850 calories or 330 calories. There were also 3 very loud french fry buzzers going off at the same time, she was being unhelpful, so I gave up and left without ordering. I usually plan my order while in line, but since the menu was not visible, I had to ask.
On this occasion today, Brenda G. remembered me, and decided to hold this grudge from the last time, and was not cooperative in taking my order. Out of exasperation, I asked for another cashier and very reluctantly Macrine came over. She would not tell me cost or calorie on this sandwich either, and finally stated that this option was not available except during breakfast hours. So, I ordered a small coffee. Macrine rang me up, took my money, then suddenly left the counter and went to the back. She was gone 10 mins! There was a coffee pot full of hot coffee on the counter 3 ft away. Brenda ignored me even though I asked twice for my cup of coffee. I waited. And waited. Finally Macrine showed up. The delay seemed deliberate, and there were some conspiratorial glances exchanged between Macrine and Brenda G. as if to show solidarity with regard to me.
Macrine got my coffee, but decided to add cream to the cup without asking. She gave me a coffee with cream mixed in. I said I wanted cream separate. She got mad and said, 'Why didn't you tell me that!', and threw this coffee away rudely and slammed another cup down and poured another cup then tossed some cream packs on the counter. I was so upset by now I was close to tears. I just asked for my money back and left the store, very hungry and upset. I am appalled by the customer service. It was so blatantly rude, I was in shock. On both occasions when I visited this McDonald's store, the service left me feeling abused, ganged up on, and disrespected. I do not need to be disrespected by a 20 yr old and her buddies, when I try to give you my business.
This is the last time I will be visiting any McDonalds. It is unacceptable, and I plan to post my experiences on several well-known online review boards. Such a shame that an American icon which personified efficient and cheery food service standards has sunk so low as to disrespect and...
Read moreI stopped in at this mcdonald's at about 3am. At the speaker I could not get anybody to respond to me which I thought was strange considering it says this location is open 24 hours and I have been here before at this time and they are always open. After i couldn't get a response, i drove up to the first window to see if anyone was there. When i pulled up i saw the restaurant did in fact seem to be open and there was a woman working. I tried saying excuse me and asking if they are open but instead she just looked at me and walked away without saying anything. I was struck by her rudeness and perplexed why she was ignoring me.
I stayed there for a few minutes, really just trying to get an answer as to whether they were open or not but she refused to respond. Eventually she yelled "Closed!" but at this point I wanted her name so i tried asking her but instead she once again just walked away. After spending a few more minutes trying to get her name i gave up and decided i would just file a complaint. If any managers are reading this her behavior was truly unacceptable and she needs to be trained better on at least doing the bare minimum of acknowledging me and saying sorry but we aren't open right now. That's really all she had to do and I would have been happy. Attached is a picture of the woman, and as you can see she is really trying her best to ignore me when all she had to do was talk to me for 5 seconds. Absolutely terrible behavior, you would think a grown woman would know better!
As a side note, please update your hours if you are not open 24 hours anymore. Although i have a feeling the store was open but she...
Read moreWhat I donât understand is why people work in customer service and then treat customers like they are a nuance to their day. There is an employee, who Iâm pretty sure is the manager.. couldnât see her name tag ever who likes to be funny in Spanish and make comments because I asked for water? Complaining that I asked for it at the door pick up window when I really asked for it when I paid.& then she hands me the water and tells me to hurry up at least 5 times. I was there a few days ago too and she started talking about me in Spanish thinking I couldnât understand her and tried to park me when all I ordered was a muffin. So I told her and she said yes go park and I said no, so she goes and grabs my muffinâŚ. I donât get it. I get itâs fast food, but thatâs just standard as a human being. Iâm making sure people drive a little longer and head to McDonaldâs...
