I most definitely revere coffee.
Before heading to Bloomington for the day, Tim and I needed coffee and what better time to get coffee is a Grand Opening of a new coffeehouse. We stopped by before hitting the road and the place was bustling with people. We were greeted by the owners upon entering and didn’t have to wait too long before ordering.
Tim got a cold brew and I got my usual Americano (and two stickers to help support the business). As we were waiting for our drinks, we chatted with the owner for a bit and I told her I love a good bitter Americano. She said their Americano was based on their house blend and that it might not be that bitter. We quickly got our drinks, got confused by the lids, and then hit the road.
Their menu is limited to what you see at the moment with a few baked goods that I saw on the counter. There was enough seating inside for a few groups of people but if the place is full, Tim spied some seating outside along the left side of the building.
The owner was correct in saying their Americano isn’t bitter. It was more of a murky colored and flavored one that I’ve had before. It was good, just lacked that clear bitterness I love but that’s my own personal preference.
I hope this place does well with all the shopping stores in the area, Costco next door, and a luxury apartment complex going up.
I am sure I will be back before too long to try it out with my friend Maria since she likes to try new places, too. If I do, I will update this blog with anything new...
Read moreI stopped by Reverence Coffee for the first time on Saturday for a quick pick me up. There was just one other lady sitting down in the coffee shop doing a little bit of work, and Sly just happened to be working that day. He was very polite and professional. We talked about how they just opened this past May, and that business was going well. He said he was looking forward to meeting the people in the new apartment building when it was done being built. I saw that there was one brown butter chocolate chip cookie with sea salt left in the box, so I absolutely had to try it. I have to say it's probably one of the most freshest cookies I've ever had, he said they always mix it up and have all kinds of different pastries. I also ordered a 12oz Caramel iced Latte, and that tasted great too! I absolutely love the vibe of the coffee shop, the color on the walls, decorations, and customer service. I will...
Read moreCoffee as it should be. I literally daydream about this coffee.
I thought I just didn't particularly care coffee very much until I came here for a caffeine boost a few weeks ago. This place has the best tasting coffee I have ever had, like it was a completely new experience for me. This is the only place I've found coffee that doesn't just taste burnt and overly acidic. I also swear it's easier to digest than any other coffee I've had.
Their lattes are less sweet than what most people are probably used to, but since the coffee itself isn't overly bitter or acidic so there isn't really much need to add a bunch of sugar or milk to make it palatable, but if you ask for extra sweet they will accommodate.
Genuinely just seems like some people who are really excited about quality coffee and want to share that with their community. Very quickly became one of our favourite...
