I booked reservations for a 7pm dinner party for 10 to celebrate my 40th birthday. Upon arrival I was asked to pay the agreed-upon $50 to reserve. After I paid the amount down for the reservation, we were seated in a nice section with a large table, comfortable cushioned high back chairs and an accent wall full of greenery. The inside aesthetics is definitely more appealing than the outside aesthetics, but this was the only thing pleasing about this night. A young male waiter came to our table and asked if we all wanted waters for the entire table. Most of us did ask for waters and by the time the waiter returned with the waters The majority of my guest were ready to place alcoholic beverage orders. When the waiter asked for my alcoholic beverage order I was still making a decision and asked him to please take the rest of the orders at the table. After the waiter took everyone else’s alcoholic beverage order I placed an order with him for a white sangria. About 20 minutes later the waiter returned with everyone’s alcoholic beverage order except mine. When I asked the waiter for my sangria he stated he thought that I had not made a decision on my order. I reminded him that he did take an order for me for a white sangria. One of my friends said to the waiter “ you have to make sure you take care of her… She’s the birthday girl“ we all laughed to make sure the waiter knew that despite him forgetting my drink we were not upset. The waiter was very apologetic and he went to the bar to place an order for my beverage. My husband who ordered the red sangria and our friend that ordered another mixed drink said that their drinks were very sweet. They mentioned the sweet drinks to the waiter and instead of another drink being made for my husband and our friend, the waiter returned with a small glass of extra red wine for my husband‘s sangria and what appeared to be lemon juice for our friend’s beverage. This is totally unacceptable. We are not bartenders and should not make our own drinks in a restaurant. I finally received my white sangria which taste more like a wine spritzer. I saw a little red down at the bottom of the glass so I’m not sure if that was some sort of grenadine but our drinks we’re not good at all. The waiter then began to place orders for our meal. Once he came to me I asked if the macaroni and cheese was a casserole …he said that it was. After about a half hour the waiter returned with entrées and appetizers ordered by the table. He sat the macaroni and cheese in front of me and of course it is not a casserole. I’ve had macaroni and cheese that we’re not casserole dishes before and they were very good so I was still willing to eat the mac & cheese. The Mac & cheese was OK. Nothing to really write home about. I also ordered broiled scallops and spinach. The scallops weren’t terrible but did not need the old Bay seasoning and the spinach was pretty slimy. My husband ordered a fried seafood basket which he actually enjoyed. Two of my friends ordered a surf and turf and one friend stated her shrimp was very mushy but she enjoyed the lobster and steak. Another friend wanted to order a shot to toast to my birthday but the waiter was nowhere to be found. She went to go to the bar herself for the shot. The same friend then wanted to order another shot for me and two other shots for two other people celebrating their birthday in the month of May and she had to return back to the bar because the waiter was not around. I wanted to buy around for my entire party but considering that my friend was having such a difficult time with just getting to three shots I figured that was a lost cause. I host A birthday dinner every year at various restaurants and every restaurant I’ve hosted a birthday dinner at gave me a dessert in celebration of my birthday with the exception of this restaurant. I was really mislead by the well created advertisement for this restaurant on social media. I certainly hope this restaurant considers investing in providing the atmosphere, Food and ambiance Portrayed on their...
Read moreI met up with two other friends at this establishment for one of my friend's birthday. This was our first time dining here. It was a Friday after work around 4:30 or 5 pm. Two of us arrived early and wanted to be seated while waiting for our other friend. Initially, I believe the host is wanted us to wait for the third person but after we expressed our wish to sit in order appetizers while we wait, the host is was kind enough to give us a table. The place wasn't busy at all. Two possibly three other tables were dining and at the time, but left just as we were being seated.
We had the pleasure of having Justin as our server. From beginning to end, Justin was the best. Although we were the only table dining in at the time, I still believe that Justin would have provided us the same service if the restaurant was busy. I saw him in action as the crowd started coming in as we were leaving. Justin provided his honest thoughts and made great suggestions of the menu. He was pleasant with a smile throughout the whole time we were there. He also took the time to ask the chef to make a couple exceptions for me since I am always the picky one in the group.
Everyone know that I am very hard to please when it comes to going out to eat. I have to admit, usually I am dissatisfied about something with the food. It can be food temperature, taste, or something being over/under cooked to my likings.
I was satisfied with everything that came to our table. We each ordered an appetizer to share. This allowed us to sample different appetizers to determine if we liked them. We ordered the salmon bites, deep fried crab claws, and the crab cake. Yes, the crab cake is made with real crab. I asked Justin first and he said yes. I could tell when I ate it. I loved the salmon bites. The jerk sauce that came with it, I didn't bother using because I was afraid it might be too spicy according to my friends who know me best. The crab claws were also delicious. Claws don't have enough meat on them for me, so that would not be an item I would personally order.
My entree was the turkey wings served with rice. I am funny about my turkey wings because I know I make great turkey wings at home. Let me tell you! The turkey wings at this restaurant was so tender and falling off the bones. The gravy flavor on the turkey wings and the rice was so delicious. I let my friends all sample my entree and they agreed. I sampled my friends kale with turkey meat in it. The greens were so flavorful. They had a cake to them but not overwhelming and spice. Yes, I ordered some kale to go and at home I ate every drop including the liquid at the end. We were all pleased with the service and the food that we received at Baltimore Crab and seafood. We will certainly be visiting again. We were told they only have music (live DJ) on Wednesdays, so we hope one day to make it out on a Wednesday to see how the ambiance is at that time. The restaurant was clean and the restroom was as well. 18% gratuity was added to our bill but I didn't mind. I actually added a few dollars more to it.
I found out that the owner of this establishment is also the owner of GardenParc. I had a great time at GardenParc last year when we enjoyed brunch on a Sunday afternoon for my birthday.

Read moreBeing that I am a Maryland born and all my ancestors are from Maryland it is imperative that I check this place out. Having the taste of Maryland again is something I miss so much as Maryland seafood will and always be the best. I must say that I still have to go back and try some other items such as the "crab cakes" for anyone from Baltimore knows why it is important to have a Baltimore, MD crab cake, as Maryland (hands down) will have the best crab cake EVER!!! However, I didn't try the crab cake, so will keep everyone updated on that.
Upon arrival the location seemed a bit dicey, but I get it.... black owned, in a black neighborhood, to serve it's community is important. The staff is black, and served Black owned wine! I just felt like we were back at a time where Black royalty existed for all! The staff is super friendly, courteous, checks on you at the right time, explained the menu, made us feel welcomed! So, I am very impressed. Now, let's get to the food!
The décor in this place gives it an upscale look, and I was impressed. It's small, but very well put together!
My wife and I ordered the Salmon Sliders, Cajun Seafood Pasta, and the Broiled Seafood Platter which comes with a 6 oz Salmon, shrimp and scallops.
The salmon sliders... the season on that Salmon was divine, along with the remoulade sauce dip. You only get two, which is a shame because those sliders are too damn good to get only two for an appetizer. (I suggest serving four). I wasn't expecting the flavor to be so bold and rich so that won me over.
The Cajun seafood pasta was pretty good, very creamy in texture and the shrimp seasoned just right.
The salmon platter I expected more than 3 or 4 shrimp and 3 scallops, so that is my only disappointment. Please provide a plentiful plate for the price of $25.00 or more, even if they have to charge more for it I prefer to pay that price if not more if the plate is plentiful. I don't wanna go home hungry! When getting seafood people want to eat good and plentiful. This is more on the upscale side than a seafood place you eat out of a bag, so I get it. I just would have wanted a few more shrimp and scallops with that meal.
Overall, this place is worth the trip, reasonable prices, could do a bit better with their food portions (hence the 4 star), a beautiful place, and great service. I am sure their other food items are great, and I will be...
