I wanted to like this better than Chipotle because it is local, and I would rather support a local business. I'll probably give it another chance/try. I got the chimichanga. The good: QUANTITY and presentation was EXCELLENT. The not-so-good: Price was $13 (I ordered direct online for pickup), and I was surprised to see that the price was $10 in the store. Why? (did I misread something, am I wrong?) Annoying, so I will not order online from here in the future. But the most important thing was that the taste of the food overall was BLAND, including the corn salsa, regular salsa and the meat/pork. This was surprising to me. If this was my business, and if BLAND was a recurring mention, I would look into the best way to address it. Update: In thinking about this overnight I kept wondering why was this meal so bland? Was it missing an ingredient? I re-read the order from my email receipt. I may have found a partial answer. I ordered Monterey Jack cheese. I believe my order was missing the cheese! Updated review: We have given Baja many chances over the years, but the bottom line is this place is horrible. The food is bland and cold, it doesn’t matter if you eat it there or take it to go. The overall rating is in the negative. Despite how hard the staff works and how clean the establishment is its time to stop gong . The quality is not there.

It is very important to point out that the establishment is very clean, organized and the staff is very friendly. For those aspects alone they would have a 5 star rating. However, the food and systems used are what lead to the 2 star rating.
I have had two different burritos and both have been bland and cold. Protein was served less than hot and the rice and veggies were cold. The veggies are unstandable, but the rice and beans should really be warmer. Also, serving the onions and peppers together is a very big turn off for those who either don’t like onions or have an allergy to them.
The systems in place also need improvement. My wife was told she had to use a different line to order an additional item. Having to order a burrito at one location then being told she had to order a Buffalo Chicken sandwich at the register is not a good system or very customer service focused.
All in all this place has some great potential, however, there are some improvements that also...

I do not normally write reviews but I will say I am disappointed with a visit today aside from a few last couple. I just want to say be mindful of your portions because it can make a meal taste completely different especially if its at the request of the customer. I ordered nachos and was given a bed of rice instead of cheese even though i asked. The guy also gave me about 10 pieces of steak, not exaggerating, especially if I'm paying extra money. I never have an issue with other bajas but this one. There is a certain worker who serves and has been very stingy with portion sizes. Please don't skimp out on servings especially if im a female and don't try to charge me extra when i ask for a normal serving...
