I normally donāt leave reviews, but my experience at the Subway at 80 Newport Ave May 19 at 3:30 was bad enough that I feel it needs to be shared.
I walked in and told the employee I wanted a Philly. She didnāt seem to hear me, so I repeated myself, then changed my order to #31. When she asked what bread I wanted, I said ācheesy breadāābut I wasnāt familiar with the options, and she didnāt offer any explanation or choices.
Throughout the interaction, it felt like she wasnāt hearing me, even though I was speaking clearly I and at a normal volume. So I said, āIf thereās a problem, we can solve it, because Iām talking as loud as I can.ā She told me it was Where she was making the sandwich was loud. I said to her itās the music De-escalateI understood thatābut then she started mocking me, saying things like the music wasnāt even that loud, in a tone that felt sarcastic and rude.
I told her I didnāt want the sandwich anymoreātwiceāand she became more dismissive. When I asked for the manager, she said sheād call them but didnāt, and then refused to give me the managerās number when I asked again.
On top of that, she brought up that the first time I came in, she ācouldnāt hear me then eitherā and that she āknew I was going to be a problem.ā That first visit, I was just nervous and completely politeāso to be labeled like that felt unfair and disrespectful.
Overall, this was the worst customer service Iāve ever received at any Subway. If youāre someone who values being treated with basic decency, I strongly suggest avoiding...

My son goes into Subway to get what was ordered and comes back to the car, I look in the bag and there is 1 foot long and 1 6in. Both of us ordered foot long subs. So now I go in and tell the lady we got the wrong sandwich. She says we're out of bread so we just put in whatever. Mind you the 6 inch was a meatball sub which was not what anybody ordered so if you're going to make a 6 inch instead of a foot-long why not make the correct sandwich. So then she proceeds to open up the foot-long with no gloves on touching all of the food that was inside of the sandwich. So I say to her now you're going to have to remake that sandwich as well because your hands are all over the inside of it. She says like I said we're out of bread. You can wait for my manager to get here and maybe provide us with bread but I can't refund you for these nor can I make you new ones.
So now I am out food and the money it cost me to order this food! This is not the first time something like this has happened at this location. Stay away from there if you actually want what...

I went in there today and the employee charged me $8 when I said all week it was less than $5 she was so rude and raised her voice. When I said that I expect to pay what I've been paying every single day she took the sandwich through it away and was so rude. People beware! Is the employee that sounds like she's had a few to many cigarettes. It's not about the money, I never expected a discount and if her employees were charging me less then that's on them.
