We have been to this place quite a bit of times now. Its a decent place to have some good indian food, again it depends on what you are ordering. The most recent experience was really good. I was really happy and satisfied with the quality and taste.
We have ordered Tandoori Pomfret ( Fish), Dum ka Murgh with Butter Naan & Hyderabadi Mutton Dum Biryani. The fish was a great start off to our dinner course, which was well cooked , sizzling hot from the grill with a blend of indian spices, tasted truly delicious. For people who love fish I would definitely suggest you try this rather than going with other fish appetizers , as l was able to find appetizers like chilly fish , appollo fish in other indian restaurant's but not the tandoori version of fish.
Butter naan & dum ka murgh were like pair made in heaven. The curry was so so so mouth watering and my taste buds were so happy after trying this. From the looks of the curry felt like it would be a bit on the sweeter side, however I was completely wrong. The curry was rich , creamy bursting with great flavors of green chillies , coconut , cashews and other indian spices. The boneless chicken pieces were juicy , tender and perfectly cooked in the curry.
Finally, the reason for me visiting this place again and again is their hyderabadi biryanis. I have tried biryanis at so many indian places in and around philly, but none of them match to this place biryani. The speciality is that biryani reminds me of true Hyderabad biryani flavor. The basmati rice was spicy and savory with subtle flavors , nothing too much going on like rest of the biryanis. The mutton was well cooked and the fried onions were crunchy and great texture to biryani. Their raita was amazing as well. I did not even bother to try their mirchi ka salan which comes on the side as I just totally wanted to enjoy the Hyderabadi dum biryani flavor. I would visit this place again and again for the biryani.
Hope they continue to serve such quality and good food for coming...
Read moreWe ordered vanjaram fish it was disaster not at all good. And then we ordered Haleem it was worst and they say it's fresh. And then we ordered apollo fish it was worst too. Finally we asked him to bring a good dish and he bought chicken kabob which was really good. And biryani was good but quality has been changed. It's not like before. I think it was good before when they started it. But now the taste of food is worst. I hope they gonna make changes ASAP.
New update guys..... 12/20/2018
We took a tray of chicken biryani and we clearly mentioned it should be medium spicy but they made it too spicy and we couldn't eat it and we trashed it finally. I don't know why these guys do this. They don't do what we ask. And after eating that biryani stomach upset due to spicy. And they are so expensive. They have other branch in norristown but the prices are different dono why. It is expensive here. Veg manchurian was good. But biryani was toooooooooo spicy man. @owner please make sure that whoever works in the restaurant whoever takes the order tell them to listen properly what customer says and what spice levels it should be. And one more thing guys if you are planning to order a medium size tray please don't go for it. Just order 3 family packs which is cheaper and the quantity will be more. Once again spice levels man.... listen properly what customer says and do...
Read moreHonestly, I don’t even know where to begin with how ridiculous this experience was. We walked in expecting a nice dinner, but instead got rushed like we were in a drive-thru. At 8 PM, the staff told us the kitchen was closing in five minutes—even though the restaurant clearly says it closes at 10 PM. Weirdly enough, after hurrying us like it was a food emergency, we watched them take orders from other tables like everything was totally normal. So… did the kitchen magically reopen for them?
The supervisor (or owner—hard to tell, since they barely acknowledged anyone) couldn’t have cared less. It was like we were invisible unless we were being hurried along.
And here’s the cherry on top: they slapped an 18% gratuity on our bill, claiming we were a party of 10. Hate to break it to them, but two adults and three kids does not equal ten. Unless their math includes imaginary friends, that’s just dishonest. No heads-up, no explanation—just quietly added it in, like we wouldn’t notice.
If you’re thinking of going, do yourself a favor and double-check your bill—and maybe bring a calculator and a stopwatch. This place treats guests like an inconvenience, not customers. I definitely won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend it unless you enjoy rushed meals, invisible managers, and...
