Royal Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Eastham

I would say maybe 2.5 stars. Unfortunately they only had 2 people total working incl kitchen and dining room, so the service was extremely slow. We waited for well I've an hour to get any food on the table. Our appetizer, the golden bags, came along with my dish and the my boyfriend's well after. The golden bags tasted good, but were still partially frozen/cold inside a couple of them. I asked for the Tom Yum Seafood Noodle Soup 3 spicy. It came with no spice and it didn't really taste like traditional Tum Yum (no sour really). It just tasted like seafood soup, but it was good if you like that taste. Thank goodness I do. My boyfriend got the yellow curry with pork. 4 spicy. That was delicious and was as he asked. You do have to order Rice on the side for an extra cost. It doesn't come with it. Drinks are served in plastic cups. No alcohol license, but they do allow you to bring your own drink from the liquor store next door if you want. I guess that can be a bonus for some. The waiter was very overwhelmed and it showed in his demeanor. Sad to say,we probably would not come back. Hopefully they can hire more staff in the future. I feel...

Very, very disappointing. My mother phoned in at 6, and the lady picked up the phone and took her order, asked for her name and then said it would be ready in 40 minutes. We get to the place around 6:45ish and there are a lot of people waiting in line. We talk to some of them and ask how long they have been waiting for. Some of them had been waiting for longer than AN HOUR AND A HALF. We wait a little longer and it’s now been an hour and no sign of our food. We go up to the counter and ask when our order will come out, they find NO order under my mothers name when the lady repeated our order to us twice AND had my mother spell out her name. After waiting for about 50 mins inside the place, we are fed up so we just ask for some appetizers to go, mind you there are still people there who had been waiting for two hours now. He comes out a little later and says our appetizers are coming out right now. 10 minutes goes by and he says it again. My family was vacationing on Cape at the end of June. Due to the Covid19 pandemic, there weren't alot of options for food. We had dinner at Royal Thai Cuicine a couple of years back and thought it was ok. So we decided to do take out at the restaurant this time. When we brought the food to our hotel, we realized the portion size was really small. Two of the curry dishes we ordered were very soupy with very little meat and veg. We thought it must be the dishes we ordered. So we ordered different dishes two days later, trying our best to support the local business. Unfortunately, we got the same results, very small portions and very few pieces of meat of any kind. It was disappointing since their price is not cheap, $18-$20 per dish. Although the flavor wasn't bad, it is just not worth the money we paid. We got the impression that they just wanted to make a one time profit from the tourists.
