I unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant due to the disparity in service/experience when compared to the price of the meal. As a note, I live in Philly and came with my parents who live in the area. I am a huge foodie and stay up-to-date with the city’s restaurant scene. This is relevant at the end. We came as a party of three for a birthday meal. We ordered a round of cocktails, a bottle of red wine for the table, and three courses: salads, steaks (I split a Tomahawk with my Dad), two sides, and desserts. Our bill was approximately $450. The food and drinks were good, and I would normally have ZERO problem with that check for three people at a steakhouse in today’s economy except for the fact that the staff made the overall experience completely unenjoyable and it seems to be entirely at the specific instructions of management. I have never been as rushed in a nearly $500 meal as I was tonight. From the moment we walked in it was clear that their goal was to flip as many tables as possible while also setting us up for the most expensive meal as possible. Before we even had time to sit down and look at the menu, they asked us for our drink order. Thankfully I had looked ahead of time. Our server then asked us for our order immediately after telling us the specials. Mind you, we just heard the specials and hadn’t even looked at the regular menu. I had to ask for 5 minutes (at this point we had been seated for maybe 30 seconds). The courses were served entirely too close together, and our plates were cleared before we had finished our courses. Each time I must have a look of shock on my face because I was met with a “oh, did you want to finish the rest or have me box this up?” Actually, no, I would have preferred you to not grab my plate off the table while I was clearly still eating but here we are now. We ordered a bottle of wine to come out with our steak which didn’t come until we were halfway through our steak. If we had known it would take so long we obviously would have just ordered glasses because that was all we had time to drink. It all became clear to us as to what was going on as throughout the meal I heard waiters tell other tables that they had a strict two hour time limit and unfortunately they needed them to leave even though they weren’t finished.
Lastly, my father is hearing impaired and we asked our server to please speak slowly multiple times. He never did and finally my Dad just asked me to order for him. It is clear that the serving staff has been instructed to turn over tables as quickly as possible that they cannot even make disability accommodations as simple as this.
Long story short, if you are going to have a strict “2-hour policy” you must communicate it clearly at the time of the reservation and at the start of the meal. My Dad made the reservation so I cannot confirm if this was communicated at the time of the reservation but it was not communicated at the start of the meal. Additionally, it is ridiculous to pair these prices with a strict two hour policy. If I am paying $450 for a meal for three people, I expect not to be rushed. The food is good, but it definitely not that good. The price only works if you can have a slow, relaxing dinner that is appropriately paced. I don’t know the restaurants in this area very well. Maybe there are no good steakhouses and people put up with that out of supply and demand. However, if that’s the case, I implore you to save that several hundred dollars that you were going to do for date night and spend it at a different steakhouse the next time you are traveling. There are so many restaurants in the Philly suburbs that have just as good food, better service, they will not rush you out, and it will be cheaper. This statement is true of pretty much every city in America. Do not waste...
Read moreI found this restaurant online while looking around for a romantic type atmosphere steakhouse. Once I found this restaurant I contacted them via email to set reservations which the gerneral manager Laura was very nice and quick to respond. I advise her this was a birthday dinner and how I was requesting a more secluded intimate area , I didn't want to be connected to another table , needs space. Communication with manager 10/10 but over all expectations weren't provided.
Arrived at the restaurant and the ladies at the front desk weren't very inviting . I've been greeted better at different restaurants. Greeting 5/10
We were provided a table right next to a fire place , not connected, same floor as when you walk in. A small table. I wasn't thrilled with the table once I sat down.
Over all atmosphere was dark lighting , wood style, extremely busy . The kitchen was right behind us so the waiters were back and fourth with heavy traffic. Waiters basically running in circles. So if you could imagine this was not a very intimate setting which was VERY , EXTREMELY disappointing when I called, scheduled 25 days in advance. Atmosphere 4/10
Our waiters because we had two , one ran the one bar and helped us and we also had another gentleman as well. Both waiters appeared nicely groomed , clean cut , spoke to us clear, made eye contact and we're very professional. Both were nice kind and had a great personality. Waiters 10/10
Appetizer and cocktails These were amazing. We had the renegade and wild thing. Cocktails taste great and service was fast 10/10. For Appetizer was the burrata mozzarella. Again very fresh , tasted good but only was serviced with two slices of bread? We used the bread on the table to finish eating the Appetizer, I'm not to sure how to get all the cheese and tomato on two small pieces of bread. Over all again service very fast and this did taste very well . Appetizer 9/10 Over all appearance and service for Appetizer and cocktails and taste 10/10
Dinner we ordered a tomahawk steak, it was the 34oz granted it served with bone and the bone was 10oz alone. So 24oz of steak. Appearance looks great Taste was good as well Requested for medium but it was medium rare more on the rare so my boyfriend was happy bc he eats his steak alive but for me personally I would of preferred the steak more cooked. It was my boyfriends birthday and he loved it so what makes him happy make me happy. Steak 10/10
Potatoes and mac and cheese tasted good . There was nothing special about the side dishes. Honestly I've had better in my experience. Side dishes 4/10
While at dinner there was a couple which sat right near us with a infant baby that screamed and cried 70% of our dinner. Then the mother was undoing herself and feeding the baby , I was completed beside myself at this point. You have a couple that placed in a reasonable request and reservation 25 days in advanced. I didn't want to sit next to another table that was connected to the one large bench and wanted a romantic intimate setting. To place us or this couple apart from us should of been obvious.
Mind blowing , unsympathetic
Cheesecake again nothing special about this we actually ordered this to go. 4/10
The waiter asked if we wanted to go to the roof top bar. We kindly declined and just wanted to leave at this point.
We had reservations at 6pm And we're walking out at 7:30pm. The food was super fast , everything just came and went.
The over all bill $245.11 While reading reviews please listen when customers say it's not worth the price , because I 100% agree. The steak was good the rest of the food was nothing special. To spend the amount of money they charge for this experience? Not worth it at all in my book and we won't...
Read moreBEWARE. My partner and I had heard rave reviews about Three Oak Steakhouse, and we were excited to treat ourselves to what we hoped would be an elevated dining experience. We had been gifted a $145 Downtown Easton gift card, and as busy parents with demanding schedules, finding the time to use it was a challenge. We managed to carve out a special night for Three Oak Steakhouse eagerly anticipating an enjoyable evening.
We specifically chose Three Oak Steakhouse because it was listed as a participating business on the Downtown Easton website under the “Dine” section, making it the perfect place to use our gift card. Our meal and the service were great for most of our visit, but when the bill came, we presented the gift card to cover the payment. To our surprise, the server informed us they do not accept Downtown Easton gift cards. I calmly explained that the restaurant was listed on the website as a participating business and asked to speak with a manager.
The manager came over, reiterating that they do not accept the gift cards, and claimed they were "illegally listed" on the Downtown Easton website as a participant and were “currently in litigation because of it.” I pointed out that we chose to dine there because they were advertised as accepting the gift cards. She responded that their private website says they do not accept them, but she could not provide proof. As of today (3/1/25), there is no such information on their website.
I requested to speak with an owner, but the manager claimed an owner was not present and she didn’t know how to contact them when they weren’t on the premises. As the general manager, it was her responsibility to resolve this situation with integrity, especially since the gift card was publicly advertised as a valid payment method. After initially refusing to accept the gift card, she asked me to show her the Downtown Easton listing, which I did. Despite this, she insisted it was out of her control and couldn’t help us. She then mentioned on their own website it states they do not accept these cards, I asked her to show me where because I wasn't seeing that anywhere. She was unable to show me and she walked away.
An “owner” then magically appeared at our table after the manager claimed they weren’t present. Instead of apologizing for the confusion and trying to resolve the issue, let alone introduce himself, he repeated everything the manager had said. At this point, frustrated, I told him he should be aware of how his business is marketed and how such errors could drive customers away over the lack of transparency and false advertising. His response was simply: “It’s not my problem.”
As a small business owner myself, I was appalled by his lack of professionalism, accountability, and his complete disregard for delivering the “luxury dining experience” that Three Oak Steakhouse promises.
To make matters worse, the only credit card I had with me was declined due to what the bank described as suspected fraud, since it was an unusual charge for that account. Since they don’t accept Apple Pay, I asked if they could manually run the card, providing proof that it was mine through my Apple Pay account. They refused and insisted they could only accept chip cards. In the end, we had to go back and forth with our bank to transfer funds to a debit card we never use in order to pay the bill. Lesson learned: next time, we’ll head to Sette Luna, where outstanding customer service is guaranteed—without...
