The Quadrant is such a wonderful place to eat! I love, love their food! Perfect environment to go grab lunch with an old friend, drink coffee, and catch up amidst the lovely bookshelves and their paged occupants. I only have positive and grateful words to say about this little breakfast nook (they do serve lunch as well), it’s staff, and owners. I’ve enjoyed their full range of menu items throughout the years, including their absolutely PERFECT and delicious French toast. Seriously, everyone should try it!! I’ve also had different sandwiches, many omelettes, and of course, their coffee selection is fabulous as well! The most impressive part is their staff; who are always friendly and helpful. I recently had a hard time getting there because of major lack of parking in Easton due to a festival, and the kitchen had already closed for the day. However, the owner happily and kindly offered to make me my French toast despite the fact that they had stopped serving food 30 minutes prior! It’s the little things like that make the difference between loyalty from customers and not. I’m obviously a loyal and happy customer! They go above and beyond in my book, and I’m very grateful (and my appetite satiated). I would absolutely recommend this place above EVERY, and I mean every, (talking to you State Café) breakfast joint from Easton...
Read moreVisiting my daughter and her husband in Easton, and she knows that breakfast is my favorite meal. She suggested Quadrant Book Mart & Coffee House, and I'm wondering to myself how can this place have a good breakfast?? It's a book store for goodness sake. Let me say I was pleasantly surprised.
This place is downtown in an old building, which I loved. The old wooden floors creak, and it has the smell of books . . . and breakfast - which I also loved. We were seated in a rear room with a wall covered with the covers of paperback books. Fantastic! And I have to mention that this is the most polite, pleasant staff I have ever had the pleasure to dine with. Ever. Seriously.
Well, our super-nice server took our order, and when my food came out I was shocked - this is a book place?? I ordered the Denver Omelet, potatoes, and one plate-sized pancake. Not only was the pancake plate-sized, it was pretty darn thick too!! Everything was absolutely delicious - we all enjoyed a fantastic meal . . . in a book place!! I'll have to start taking my daughter's restaurant suggestions a bit more seriously. She picked a winner...
Read moreThis was only our second time visiting but will most likely be the last. Sadly, the breakfast we ordered was just... very disappointing. The omelet was odd. The egg portion was super thin had 0% fluffiness and was lacking flavor. The French toast looked good and was a large portion. They used good bread too. Unfortunately it was beyond bland. No cinnamon, no vanilla and was not "sprinkled with powdered sugar" as stated in the menu. So it was essentially just egg, milk, and bread. Served without butter and i had to request syrup. Everything just seemed off today. Tbh, it was like the griddle must have been off until we showed up bc everything seemed like it was cooked on a griddle that was not quite hot enough. The coffee was also bitter as if it was not fresh or was overheated while brewing. I'm not sure if this was all just bc it was a slow day or a staffing issue but we left feeling regret for our choice...
