Read moreI struggle to give one star here and only did so because the rooms we stayed in were spacious and comfortable. However this was the only positive while dealing with this hotel. I booked the Grand Eastonian for my June 2022 wedding hotel block. First off, when they wrote my contract up they had the incorrect dates and even year. After reaching out about this mistake, the updated contract still had the wrong dates. Finally the contract was corrected. Secondly, I had guests call and were told there weren’t any rooms left in the block. However, when I called to add more rooms they said there were rooms still available. The person at the front deak apologized and said they “had new people working the front desk.” A couple months out from my wedding, I received a phone call checking in and confirming my reservation. The staff member stated I had 2 suites (which was correct) and the Gold Room, an event room, booked. I explained I never booked the Gold Room and the staff member apologized and said she removed this from my reservation. However, about 10 days out from my wedding, when asking an unrelated question, the sales manager stated she still had not heard about what layout I wanted in the Gold Room. I stated once again I never booked this room and this was apparently taken off my reservation when I spoke to a staff member on the phone a couple months prior. She apologized and stated someone else with the same first name had it booked that night and so when they saw my name it confused them. They also told me this other lady’s full name, which was a breach of confidentiality for that client. When it hit wedding week, I had asked about checking in early about 2 hours so I could get ready for my rehearsal there. The sales manager stated they couldn’t guarantee early check in but would try. She also asked AGAIN about the Gold Room layout. So 3 times I was asked about this room I never booked….I then emailed back saying after all of this unnecessary stress, I would like to check in early as compensation. When I arrived to check in, my rooms were not ready and I had to scramble to get ready somewhere else. Within 20 minutes I got calls that both the rooms were ready…In summary this hotel added much more stress to an already stressful time planning a wedding. The rooms themselves were great however the management was awful to work with and I would not recommend this hotel for anyone for...
