We visited on Feb 22, 2025 for a birthday celebration. Oddly enough, I received a periodic blog (Eastvale Gateway) on February 17, 2025 that showcased Georgia's Restaurant. Judging from the food photo and what was written about the restaurant, I did what any foodie would do and wrote down the address and planned to visit. It gave off a classy establishment vibe with good food. With Eastvale being my old stomping ground, I figured it wouldn't be long before visiting.
On me and my spouses birthday celebration, we decided to visit. A group of five of us met at the restaurant and spoiler alert--we had a blast. The food was excellent and the service was superb as well. The employees were polite and respectful. We were greeted upon entry. All of our interactions with the staff were awesome. I had the catfish and it was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of seasoning. Its exterior was crunchy and the inside was tender and perfectly cooked. I had a side of cabbage and black eyed peas, both yummy! Again, both were seasoned perfectly and tasted great. They give you these small cornbread muffins kind of like an appetizer along with butter. These are slightly sweetened and come with butter. These little buggers could very well be a bigger part of the meal. They tasted great and I was so tempted to ask for seconds but wanted to leave room for the main course. This is definitely some of the best soul food in the area. Everyone in our group agreed. and that's coming from some experienced soul food cooks (including myself).
The whole experience was great. It's such a nice and peaceful place to enjoy some delicious food. This is a solid 5 star restaurant. I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed.
*****Updatesecond visit on April 2, 2025.
Based on our first experience, we visited a little over a month later while we were out doing some business networking. And again, as a result of the first visit, we ordered catfish again. On this round, for sides, I got the cabbage (just like the first time), but for the second side, I tried the mac n cheese. The catfish was just as delicious as the first round, so was the cabbage. The mac n cheese was just like homemade, cheesy with the macaroni cooked just right. So once again, service was awesome and the food was just as appetizing. I can't mention it enough that this is a great place to enjoy a meal. This will be regular restaurant for us, so for next time, we will venture out and try a new dish.
Still a highly rated restaurant at the Eastvale Gateway to enjoy...
Read moreThe first time I patronized Georgia's was with a very large Social Group I am a member of and we had the pleasure of having Georgia herself, host and personally attend to our needs. The service was fantastic, the atmosphere felt at home, and the food was impressive. I had the Shrimp and Grits. However, a couple of weeks ago I brought my family of three there. The service was good, the atmosphere was still as inviting, I'm not sure if music was playing or not, but the food was not the same. This time two of us ordered the Jambalaya Chicken Omelet, the other ordered Chicken & Waffles. We had to send our Omelet back because they used charred or Cajun Chicken which is like blackened chicken and taste awful when mixed inside an egg Omelet with cheese and Jambalaya sauce. This was disappointing because our wait from order to table, is usually on average about 30 minutes on a Sunday. So to have to wait again was something else and we were not offered any additional accommodations while waiting such as muffins on the house, a free drink of choice, a reduction on our bill for the inconvenience, you get the point any offer would've been nice. Also they had these $5 drinks that fell flat. I had a Peach Sangria Wine Spitzer but it was so watered down it taste more like a wine cooler, I was disappointed. As for the Chicken & Waffles I never tasted that dish but my other family members did and they said the waffle taste like a funnel cake which they liked a lot. They liked the chicken but felt it was overcooked or dropped in the grease more then once because the battered skin was very dark just shy of burnt. However they did think the two did not compliment each other taste wise. Either the batter needed to change for the chicken or the waffle batter needed to change. Overall I hate to say this but if Georgia isn't there the food is missing the love, the soul, and the care we got the first time I patronized. Also I didn't see anyone of my color as employees and I'm Black. I do like that you have diversity representing Latino and Asian but I didn't see us this particular day unless we were cooking in the back, but it didn't...
Read moreI think I can speak for African Americans when I say the food's good you just have to add some salt I had the skirt steak it should come with barbecue or dry rub as an option not everybody likes that Brazilian sauce it almost makes the food taste Mexican the red beans and rice was good I just had to add some sriracha and salt and pepper and the macaroni was a little dry I did also have to add some however I can imagine it when it's fresh and I'm sure it tasted better I also had the strawberry lemonade which to me needed a bunch of more sugar for black people usually they should offer simple syrup or their strawberry syrup as an added shot if people want that or not otherwise you feel like when you're drinking a diabetic friendly lemonade overall I give it a 7.5. I also need to quickly educate mostly black people on skirt steak you have to eat that medium rare otherwise it's going to be tough as hell that part of the cow does not have enough fat to be well done so you can't eat it well done black people usually like steak well done you can't do that with skirts steak so if you didn't know now you know you it should also be cut a little thinner in slices they cut it a tad too thick for no steak knives thanks for coming to my ted talk good...
