Cancun Grill — Restaurant in Eau Claire

Awful awful awful!! First of all I aked for a margarita and my wife wanted a beer special ... we could o ly see that wed n thurs had specials so we asked him which ones he rattled off the beers she choose one and then when ordering. .. minutes later we get 2- 22 ounce beers placed In front of us!!! I sighed but didn't wanna be a pest, then the waiter came back and said do you want 2 margaritas too!! I just looked at him and wondered why this man is even on the floor because he clearly cannot understand the language that well but he is very pleasant so you don't wanna be made at him. Then when ordering I asked specifically if the chimichanga came with shredded beef or ground beef? He said yes yes yes.... shredded !! Well when I get it I notice nope it its ground beef ....then while sitting waiting because it was really busy a man came around and gave my wife a new beer, as we held out and waited and obviously being a bit annoyed at that point, I just got the bill and thoughthe let's go... well I look on bill and we were charged 16.00 for 3 beers when we thought they were 2.99 a piece ... we said to a gentleman what we noticedo and there was a mistake. .. he said OK hang on... then an older man says that is for domestic only, we replied the waiter named the beer when we asked what came with the special ... he reluctantly said fine I will take 1 off... at this point I'm mad because I didn't want a beer to begin with and would have paid that much for my margaritas I originally ordered... then going up to pay bill I had a coupon I found on Internet earlier that day that expired 06/01/2017 ... the young man looks at me with a smirk and says that expired may first!! I looked again because I was sure I checked all fine print ... and I said it's 5/18/2017 and this says 06/01/2017????? It's may yet!!! Oh he says my months are mixed up!!

I'm sorry I travel and we eat out a lot but this restaurant lacks in service and in attempting to just make customers feel good about their stay rather then made to feel like an idiot foe not double and triple checking their mistakes and they have no care in the world because they are busy and if someone complains ... who cares right?? Well if you wanna get jerked around then please enjoy this place ... because it's number one on...

i usually have great things to say about this cancun, but today (9/23 at 8:30pm) our service was AWFUL. my boyfriend and i arrived and got seated fairly fast in a nearly empty restaurant (probably five other small tables). our waiter immediately asked us our drink & food orders. my boyfriend was undecided, so got water and i got a pop, which came timely. the waiter didn't return for TWENTY-FIVE minutes. 25 minutes of empty sodas, empty white and regular salsa, empty chips, and our orders still not taken. i had to physically get up and ask a table FULL of servers who were rolling silverware to help us. he had a snarky attitude and kept giving the table of other waiters annoyed looks while we ordered. my boyfriend ordered a small margarita, but received a large which we took as a "sorry" sort of deal. they brought us our food and my order was wrong because our waiter didn't bother to write anything down. when we got our bill they charged my boyfriend for a large margarita ($7.50!!!!!) AND i got charged for THEM getting my order wrong. i have absolutely nothing good to say about cancun with their absolutely AWFUL service and, to top it all off, charge us...

It's almost like Jeckyl and Hyde. Good spot for dinner, but you'd do better going to Taco Bell for lunch.

We've never had a problem with service; the waitstaff is always attentive. We have food allergies and the servers will check with the cooks if we have any questions about what's in something, etc.

Dinner atmosphere is particularly loud (both the music and patrons), but not intolerable. Lots of options for food, with sizeable portions for the price and good flavors.

Lunch, on the other hand, is a very small menu, and the food tastes like it's been premade and is just sitting in bins waiting to be assembled so it can be delivered quickly. Meats were basically unseasoned and served lukewarm- there was more flavor in the side...
