The cookies are usually good and I enjoy the wide variety of flavors but the service is sub-par. I recently did two online orders through the app. I got to the store at my scheduled pickup time and followed the instructions on the app to tap the "I'm here" button both times.
For the first order, the lady working says they don't have one of the specific cookies I had ordered since someone baked them incorrectly. Ok...? This was at 8am when they first open. There were only two other customers waiting as I was. She told me I could wait 30 minutes until they bake that cookie or substitute it with a different one. I chose substitution. I couldn't wait an extra 30 minutes since I had to get to work. The cookies tasted quite undercooked.
Then, I did another online order last evening. Again, I get to the store at my pickup time and hit "I'm here" in the app. It was super busy, a reason why I order online to avoid the long lines. Well, I waited for almost a half hour as people who came in and ordered right at the store on the kiosk received their cookies before I did. Ridiculous! What is the point of ordering online then ahead of time? I finally go up to the counter to ask where my order status is because my name did not show up on the online pickup list. Several workers walked right by and did not acknowledge me. Finally, a lady calls my name and says their banana cream cookie is out and I could wait 30 minutes for it or substitute it for a different cookie. Again, I chose substitution since I had been waiting close to 30 minutes already since I got there. She brings my cookies and asks me "Do these look good?" I said can you bake them a little longer since last time the cookies tasted quite undercooked. She gives me this blank stare and after a long pause says, "No. We can't do that." At this point, I just took the cookies and left, hoping when I try them that they wouldn't taste doughy. My question is: Why ask a customer if the cookies look ok if you are not going to do anything or offer a solution when the customer gives a request and asks if they could be baked a few minutes longer? Maybe leave the frosting off until the customer confirms if the cookies are baked to their liking and then put the finishing touches on the cookie? These cookies did taste better this time but I definitely would have liked them baked a little bit more.
All in all, I probably won't go back to this location for a long time, if ever, due to the substandard customer service and flawed online...
Read moreThis was my first time being in-store and learning the methods to order and understand the menu.
I’d say the menu was pretty straightforward, which I loved.
The ordering system was a tad bit confusing for me, like I said, it was my first time. It was difficult because I wanted to pay in cash, instead of using card and it was a bit of a wait for anyone to help me. The staff was friendly, but most definitely busy with some other tasks.
Atmosphere, was clean, organized, and pleasant to be in. I do wish there was a spot to sit down, but this is a place where you place your order and leave.
Most of these I got for my kids. I did try all of them.
The pink cookie and churro were much too sweet for me. The French toast was my favorite and well executed. The cookie dough was on the brink of being too sweet but was much less sweet than the churro and pink cookie. They looked fabulous and my kids enjoyed them. I thoroughly enjoyed trying all of them and would most definitely recommend these to my friends and family for...
Read moreI am allergic nuts, and read the allergy warnings for the cookies and ate the certain ones which weren't posted to have nuts. I felt tingling and uncomfortableness in my mouth for around half an hour afterwards. All the cookies do have a "may contain" description for nuts, which is pretty much ignorable with all other food (it's mostly there as legal protection, rather than a legitimate warning to the customer). Crumbl didn't lie about potentially containing nuts, but I would expect more cleanliness, carefulness, and safety when handling the different types of cookies. Because of the carelessness when handling ingredients between cookies, I'm compelled not to trust the cleanliness of any other part...
