I ended up in Wisconsin for the first time in my life for a conference, and this was the nearest option by my hotel for dinner after a day of lectures and research presentations. From the first night when I dropped in, I was impressed by the atmosphere. Beautiful environment and lighting, extremely efficient and friendly service, and the selections were exactly what I was hoping for, a bit of the familiar. not too expensive, healthier than fast food. I tried a variety for three nights in a row: first vegetable udon soup, perfect size, stuffed with vegetables, great broth. Then fried udon, also filling. Finally got a salmon teriyaki, great flavor and plenty of vegetables. Drinks are all quite large, whether water or soda of choice with refills.
The highlight: the staff were amazing. The second night I came in late and they were in the middle of their own dinner. They quickly sprang up to serve me though, and they seemed perfectly happy to have a customer come in so late. Over the days, I tried to practice some of my elementary Mandarin with them and had a ton of fun. If there's any reason to go here, it's because of the passion and love of the staff toward bringing the best of Asian food to America. I have a lot of respect for the courage and open-mindedness it takes to displace yourself from your native country and language and create a piece of heaven where you end up. Being able to rest here after the long days was really comforting, and I'll...
Read moreVery pleasant and prompt service. They offer All-You-Can-Eat sushi, which you order from a tablet, and is brought to your table as you order it. Non-sushi Japanese/Chinese items and meals were also available. We ordered a Party platter, which was a bit more economical for dinner for 4 people, and which allowed us all to try a variety of sushi. The sushi was very tasty and well-presented, with good amounts of each kind. One of our group ordered a more typical meal, which contained a very generous and reportedly very tasty main course, accompanied by soup and a green salad with a delicious dressing. The All-You-Can-Eat option is very intriguing, as you choose using a tablet with good illustrations and descriptions of the different offerings as you dine, keeping the tablet with you throughout the meal. This does provide the benefits of a buffet, while ensuring availability and freshness of the foods and permitting Social distancing. It is the best deal for lunch and for trying a wide variety of sushi, especially if you have a large appetite. The atmosphere was clean, comfortable, and cozy, while low-key. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and...
Read moreWent with some friends on a Saturday. Was pretty busy but service was still quick, we only waited a 5 mins before being seated. It was a great time trying all the different sushi and non sushi options with friends. If you don't know if you like sushi go with some friends and try some of each or their rolls. This experience was far better than my one in Chicago that did solely sushi.
Many raw(authentic) and no raw(non authentic)options along with chicken, beef, veggie options, scallops.
Was delicious, price wasn't horrible, 4 of us ate 25 of their smaller plates(1 roll per plate, 3 scallops, 3 spring rolls, ect.) Than we also took mango salad and a shrimp tempura roll to go. We cleaned every last bite up(friend said to go and if you didn't finish were subject to a slightly higher waste or to go fee)
Bill came out to just above 100$ so 25$ per person before tip wasn't bad for the amount we had.
If you are thinking about going here do it! Very clean, very fast service, fun way if ordering food, great time, very tasty. 10/10 would recommend and would love to go back again when I make it back...
