Mousetrap Tavern — Restaurant in Eau Claire

OMG, if people in Eau Claire think this place is nice, they ought to get out of Eau Claire and experience what civilized, modern, and evolved people are enjoying. This place is a disgusting excuse for anything. Music? Really? A bunch of screaming from some untalented basement dwellers in the corner of the bar is what I experienced. The stage area is an annexed space next to the original bar where most of the separating brick was left in tact. You literally can't even see the band unless you're standing in the 15-20 foot space directly in front of the stage. Everything about this place should be an embarrassment to Eau Claire. You can't move around very well. You can't stand anywhere without constantly having to move so others can get by. I didn't dare order anything to eat, so I can't review the food. I'm not sure what kind of daring (stupid) mate would order food from a place that looks so disgustingly dirty anyhow. 3.75 per beer bottle ate up $7.50 in 30 minutes leaving quite broke and sober. What I mean is $22.50 for a 6 pack of bud seems a bit greedy on the 10,000% markup, however the bartender sorta made up for it by not treating the homeless paying customers like the bar needed an exterminator to clear out the "unwanted pests" as some other taverns do simply cuz a person has a backpack. Possibly the rudest bartenders I've ever met. Went there Friday night after my brother's rehearsal dinner, the bartender acted like we totally inconvienced him by asking for a beer. The 2nd night, Saturday, we showed up after the reception at 1130pm and the bartender was even more rude than the night before (different bartender) he told us the credit card machine didn't work-when in fact it did and he just wanted us to pay cash.
