Hawaii Poke Bowl — Restaurant in Eden Prairie

As someone that lives in the area and orders pick up often, I’ve never had a bad experience until tonight, the customer service was horrible.

I placed an order ahead of time and arrived exactly when it said it would be ready. Cashier asked me the name on the order and said it wasn’t ready yet. Proceeded to help 3 other customers that were in line instead of notifying anyone to start making my order as I was there at the pick up time. Makes another pick up order that isn’t mine. Then proceeds to help someone that had already eaten there and was coming back to order another bowl. All of these people were helped before my order was even started to be made. One girl was making the bowls while the other was restocking food and just chit chatting about the owner of the store and their text group, while I’m still standing there. No sense of urgency as the order was now 15 minutes past when it should have been ready. Very unprofessional and I will not...

It is a good place for bowls. I am not sure I would say it stands above any other poke bowl shop I have been to, but the ingredients were fresh and appeared good quality. They had greens, rice or quinoa options and several protein options (or you can load up edamame if you are veg) good flavor/sauce agents. We did build your own, and it was good. I don't typically do the predefined option as they have a few items I don't love, but maybe I will leave them out or substitute next time 🤔 The add-ons both veg/flavor and texture options covered a wide range. Staff was friendly and they serviced adequately. It is high end fast food, and I think met the mark. I would definitely go back. And they ALMOST hit the 4 star rating, but just didn't quite stand out above anyother high end fast food place in EP. A good alternative, though, to the numerous burger and tex-mex saturation. Not really into smoothies so...

Fresh food, delicious and lots of options to customize. They also have pre-determined menu items if you aren't picky... I am. Everything was great but I did feel like there was a LOT of cucumber on the bowl - kinda overwhelmed everything else. Good if you get lots of sauces and stuff but I prefer my poke more traditional with the flavors surrounding the fish and individual items.

Service was a bit frustrating when I was here. I'd pre-ordered and paid for my bowl but ended up standing at the end of the counter for like 5 minutes while the service person made another person's bowl to order... some companies put the food on a shelf or a fridge for self service, not sure if that works for this concept but there has to be something better. When I was addressed finally, the rep was super nice and cheerful so that's good.
