I grew up in Edgewater, so I am very well rounded with the local restaurants and I’ve been going to this pizza place for over a decade. The workers there for the most part are nice, but there’s this one individual that is very rude and condescending. The food over the years has gotten less fresh and tasteful. The quality has gone down. I came in with my service dog for personal reasons, and before I even got to walk into the door, he was yelling no dogs. This is the same man who has served me pizza for years and I honestly think it’s because he’s a flirt and gets his pride hurt when somebody doesn’t entertain his feelings or his attractions which I in the past have ignored since it is inappropriate behavior, and I do not reciprocate those feelings. I even had an incident with him one time when I went in there with my sons father and he was jealous so he didn’t wanna serve us food. He just kicked us out that was about a year ago . Just be careful if you’re a woman and you’re looking for a new pizza spot in the area because if you are and he ends up liking you or finding you attractive, he will give you a hard time if you don’t entertain it, this is not the first time since he has started the flirting game that he has been nasty with me because I didn’t acknowledge him in that way. It’s borderline harassment and retaliation at this point. Even though he has known me since I was a kid that didn’t stop him from flirting with me since I hit high school which made me go there way less than I used to. today I was right down the block from it and I was hungry, so I was just hoping he wouldn’t be there but by my luck he was. I think management needs to reconsider his position due to his inappropriate actions and reactions in addition to his poor customer service skills and just blatant rudeness. Again, I had my service dog who is certified has his badge and I tried to explain that to him and he still try to get nasty and as a woman I am not going to sit there and let a man get nasty and loud with me with me. The guy is very slim, slightly brown skin, has very bad acne and very messed up teeth , his voice is like squeaky and low and his hair is combed at the top like Superman but the Guatemalan version and he’s usually in the front dealing with the register and the orders. DONT EVEN BOTHER GOING TO BROTHERS PIZZA CLUB is a couple blocks down near Trader Joe’s and is way better and the staff is extremely nicer and way more considerate. I’ve never had a problem taking my service dog there and in fact, all the workers love him they always say hi to him and even give him treats. Shout out to Pizza Club 🍕 for understanding and properly executing Customer Service to the fullest and just remembering to be kind and considerate of the next person which is...
Read moreYou know, I never really cared for this place, unless I’m desperately hungry due to dire circumstances and comply with my appetite as my last resort.
Each time I’ve insisted the “chef” wear gloves when he prepares my order to avoid cross contamination of any sort, he condenses me and tries to make a fool of me by insinuating; “I’m the only person who makes such a request” whilst insures to give me a hard time.
On this day, I witnessed him grab a half eaten plate from a consumer who dined in with his bare hands and afterwards placed a wax paper into my pizza box, without the least bit of concern when it came to proper sanitation of his own hands. My only thought was, I’m unaware of of where strangers’ mouths have been and with my own gloves, I considerately immediately removed the wax paper out of my med. pizza pie, crumbled it up and threw it in the trash bin. I politely requested for new wax paper only to assertively negotiate my point of view. Instead of a gentle health regulated adherence to my response regarding protocols, he insisted to manhandle my concern, without a realistic reason and continued to state: "only one wax paper can be given to one customer at a time." I then had to rip one of the white paper bags open and use it as a substitute, just to avoid further conflict from one of the most unreasonable responses yet.
Although, my initial gut response was to leave the merchandise at this ungodly franchise and to avoid further embarrassment due to the crowd already seated, however, my hunger for a warm meal superseded my judgement. Therefore, I had to swallow my pride and remain my composure as a mature adult in efforts to yet again- avoid further conflict.
Each time my hunger pains are forced to settle I’m forced to purchase at this pizzeria, although it takes me about an hour to debate on whether or not I’m in the mood to deal with the B.S that accompanies it….
Since when do I have to apologize for giving a damn about my own safety?
This establishment is a far cry from the reflection of the awesome customer service Edgewater prides themselves on. The egotistical, nature of these unpleasant human beings really need to go. I can't stand it when any franchise thinks a person God's given appetite relies on them. Are they serious? Without it’s consumers, the would cease to exist and genuinely need to think twice about their approach…
They need to seriously pack up their belongings and bow out of this town. The residents deserve better and I’m so over the moon they now longer reside locally. Let them go and let God. I’m so offended and disheartened by...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I had a white pizza slice and a pepperoni slice. We were in the neighborhood and just wanted to grab a quick bite. I found this place on Yelp, and it was rated maybe 4 stars, so I figured it wouldn't disappoint.
Our pizza was really JUST okay. That's it. It lacked in flavor. Was very mediocre and that's about it. If you are hungry it will fill you up, but that's all you'll get. Also, selections on the pizza to order by the slice was VERY limited.
I was annoyed that the lady's room didn't have any soap. And it's not that they ran out of soap, there was no soap dispenser to be found in the ladies room. It also had NO toilet tissue. So, I ended up using the men's room since it had both.
I give this place 3 stars instead of 2, only because the staff was very friendly.
By the way, it sits off of the main road in a wee little strip mall. You can miss it (and we did at 1st) if you are looking for it to be on the road of...
