SZECHAUN MIRCHI Indo-Chinese Cuisine(Edgewater) — Restaurant in Edgewater

I ordered takeout on Friday. I was about to place the order on uber eats but I called the restaurant and placed it directly instead for pickup because I know it’s beneficial for the restaurant. When picking up - the total was $7 more than the prices listed on Uber eats. Makes absolutely no sense! They charge for paying with a card too. Anyways - I could have gotten past this but the food was so disappointing. The chicken lollipops were almost inedible they were all breading. The fried rice with pineapple was below average. And the curry chicken was fine. Not my favorite but my husband liked it. Won’t be going back...

Last Sunday, we ordered Chicken Hakka Noodles, Chicken Fried Rice, and Chilli Chicken. While the Hakka Noodles and Fried Rice were delicious, the Chilli Chicken didn’t meet our expectations. I understand that errors can happen, so I called the store to inform them about the issue. Kevin from Schezwan Mirchi Edgewater was very accommodating and offered to replace the Chilli Chicken. Great service with a very nice colorful cozy atmosphere. The waitress was very attentive. However this restaurant is very stingy with the meat or seafood and the portions were small. I ordered something with lamb on more than one occasion and there was hardly any lamb in the food. They are so stingy that when I ordered pineapple fried rice there was hardly any pineapple in it. If people are going to pay a high price to go out to eat in Edgewater New Jersey at least they should get large portions with decent amounts of the main...
