Bruegger's Bagels — Restaurant in Edina

I had forgotten how bad this location is. This time, the General Manager took order for 3 everything with olive pimento and cucumber slices. Went to back through doors for supplies never changing gloves. No protective glove underneath. Noticed they use the messy counter without paper under each item as done in most stores.At best counter brushed off but not actually wiped to prevent cross-contamination. Later we discovered he used jalapeño instead of olive pimento. Tried calling twice to say I was sending a daughter back, no answer. He ended up waiting on her, non-descriptedly (correctly) remade without comment or apology ending with a "try these." While there she observed another worker badge staff or shift manager handling many things without glove changes. Sanitation terrible, customer relations terrible - neither near Bruegger's standards. This from a family that had a daughter work 2 years at another Edina Brueggers where such would never occur.

Recommendation - go to Southdale or either St Louis...

Employee was incredibly rude and seemed like he was looking to start something.

We went in and ordered two Egg and Cheese bagels. When we went to pick up the order, one of the bagels was as order and the other was Ham and Cheese.

[Note - I am 100% sure we didn't say Ham and Cheese because we do not eat ham.]

At any other place, I would have expected to get the first bagel we wanted and either be charged to remake the other bagel or comped it. Instead he: Insisted on throwing away both bagels (even the one that was fine) Rudely remade both bagels for no reason Loudly starting trashing us to the other employees (among other things claiming we asked to get both bagels from the first order anyways, which is not true since again I do not eat ham - we just offered to take the first bagel so they wouldn't have to remake both) Made obscene hand gestures to us on...

This location has such amazing human beings. I sincerely hope they all see this review because I see how busy this location is and I am always impressed by them- I’ve been coming here over the last year. I prefer to come inside this location, (despite the potential to use a delivery app and be super lazy about it when I’m exhausted and hungry). These workers put in their hours every week doing the grind but still are an absolute pleasure to see. They’re fast, friendly, accurate, everyone is always moving and grooving. Kevin the manager has a contagious laugh and has helped put life back into me when I stumble in hungry and exhausted. He also must have an impecable hiring sense because those working here do more than food service, I think they do wizardry as well.
