Don't expect anything fancy, this is a pretty classic BBQ joint. Came here with a bunch of coworkers around 12:30ish, and we were able to not only have our order taken quickly, but we got our food pretty promptly too. The prices were really reasonable, and the portions were a little on the generous side, but not so much that it felt oppressive or downright unhealthy. Everyone loved what they ordered. Nobody left unhappy. IMHO, it's a little over-the-top that Platter meals are served right on butcher paper in a tray, but whatever, it's like a big plate anyway. My pulled pork was very clean tasting, not something that had a bunch of heavy, overpowering sauce thrown on top (though I did add a little sauce). Very tender, absolutely delicious. The mashed potatoes had some body to it, but it wasn't heavy. I thought the Jimmy Beans were a bit too sweet for my preference, but not too sweet to stop me from eating them, or ordering them next time. One person did lament that their Two Meat Platter was a little pricey ($15), but I got my Build-Your-Own Bowl with a drink for only $8.53, which is cheaper than soup and a sandwich at some places in the area, so I didn't think it was too bad. Though I have to admit that the muffin top with a light glazing of butter looked pretty tempting. The staff were great too. No problem with any of our orders, everyone was friendly, and the cashier was able to rip through our group pretty dang quickly. We all had our food brought to the table in less than ten minutes, and they even had someone bus our empty trays when we were done (though they do seem to have an area for people to drop off their own, so I dunno if this is normal). It's definitely on my list of places that I'll be considering when I need a quick lunch, and I'd do take-out for dinner if I didn't live so far away everything would be stone cold by the time I get home.

The first rule of traveling is eating at places you can't get back home. This is one of those times that it backfired, but for good reason. This was, hands down, the BEST brisket I've had in. my. life. It was melt-in-your-mouth tender and perfectly smoked. Pictured are the Texas Beef Brisket sandwich (top) and the Memphis Mayhem sandwich (bottom). The Texas Beef Brisket was a traditional smoked and sliced brisket on a brioche bun; a perfect comfort food, and exactly what I think of when I think of brisket. The Memphis Mayhem has brisket, pulled pork, Memphis sauce, Texas hot link pieces, pickled onions, party corn, cheddar cheese and BBQ sour cream on it. The cheddar cheese and BBQ sour cream seemed to be missing, but the sandwich was still perfect without them. Sides we chose were the Mac and cheese (topped with toasted bread crumbs) and the creamed corn (smoked with the slightest kick) - both were absolutely mouth-watering. The worst part about this place is I can't get it back home. I'm already thinking about my next trip here to try more of their menu. Outstanding!

I tried this place because a couple clients have said the food was great which it was hands down. One of the better BBQ joints I've had in the cities. Customer service not so much. My experience started by trying to call to place a pick up order. When I called the guy said "you gotta do it online we are to busy" and then hung up. I fail to see how that is acceptable and the difference between taking an order on the phone or having to enter it after the online order. Got to the location for pick up and they just seemed eager to leave which is understandable being close to closing time. I double checked my order in my car before leaving and one of my sides was missing. Things happen everyone is human but when I went back in for it I heard the cook complaining about having to get a side of Mac n cheese when it was a forgotten item. Having salt / pepper / butter packs etc. would be a plus but has no effect on review rating.

This was my first time here and I will start by saying that the food was great. The smoker was running outside, bringing that delicious smoked meat smell as soon as I got out of my car. The woman taking our order asked if it was my first visit to an Old Southern BBQ and when she found out it was she explained a little about the menu items and also provided an alternate menu that had more detail than the reader board menu above the registers. Our food came very quickly and was served on a small tray lined with butcher paper. The side dishes were in bowels. A neat little rustic method that actually displayed the food very well. Very simple but providing ample coverage for the contents of my sandwich to spill out and still be edible (and not all over me). The food itself was delicious. It was a bit difficult making a choice in what to order because there are so many things that look very good. I do want to comment directly on the meat and the BBQ sauce; it was exceptional. The baked beans were very good as well. The person I was eating with enjoyed his meal as much as I did. We sat for a while after we ate to visit and it was not an issue with staff at the restaurant. The restaurant was clean (which is normally pretty important to me) and the staff was friendly and courteous. Again, I liked the extra step the woman took in giving me a little insight into the food before I ordered. Thumbs up to her customer service. Is this a "First Date" type of restaurant? Not really. Is this a relaxed, great place to eat lunch, dinner, or get take out? Absolutely for sure. If you haven't been here, and you like BBQ, get here. If you already come here regularly, then you will probably run into me in the future because I will be back to Old...

This place is a joke. We showed up for dinner at 6pm on a Saturday (today) and not only did it take 20-25 minutes literally to get through the line of people just to order but the food was not impressive. The BBQ tacos were awful 😖 the BBQ rice was so disgusting and starchy that I couldn't even eat it. The pulled chicken on the tacos had bones in it and a huge piece of gristle. My pork was so greasy that I had to blot it with a paper towel. It literally tasted like it sat in a bowl of grease. The muffin top was over cooked. It was just awful. On top of that when we were in line we found out they were out of ribtips. How are you out of ribtips when you're not even halfway through supper on a Saturday night!! The staff didn't seem to know how to operate the registers and then after ordering it took over 30 minutes to get our food!! It's a shack style restaurant!! I'm completely blown away how this place is ran or rather the lack of management. They give you 3 options prompting you to leave them a tip. Tip for what!! They don't check on your table at all, they don't pick up your dishes or anything. They literally drop your food at the table and that's it. You pick up all your own stuff and throw away your trash and put your dishes in a designated area. I ordered a lemonade and there wasn't any. I told the front of house and it was not ever filled. So I ended up just getting water. This is the worst knock off to famous daves. Such a slap in the face to them. This place seriously needs an entirely new management team and the staff needs some serious training. I will NOT ever go back. One of the worst dining...
