Three of us stopped by Compadres around 2 on a Saturday afternoon; the server could not answer ANY of our questions about menu items/adult beverages; her response each time was " I don't know, I'm kinda new " We( my friend and I are vegetarians) ordered a simple side of Beans,( topped with cheese) as there weren't Any vegetarian options. We asked if the cooks could leave the meat OUT of particular dishes, which again we were told " I don't really know, I'm kinda new here." Our order was very simple - 2 waters & one cocktail - this took about 20 minutes to receive; ( there were 2 other dinners besides my party) and although she was " Kinda new," she knew the other server & 3 cooks well enough to stand and chit chat in the area in front of the kitchen. Having ordered 2 sides of beans and 1 basic Mexican dish ( tortillas, meat filling, cheese over everything) we were Astounded that only one order of beans arrived and the other dish. We waited ( and waited for the other side - no, it never appeared. Finally I went to where all 5 of them were chatting and asked about the missing side ( this was my friend's meal! ) the server looked at me, dumbfounded, and said, again, " Oh I'm kinda new ..." She had Written our order down. In ink. On paper...and yet.. My friend and I shared my side and paid the bill; as we were leaving, I mentioned to the young woman, Very Politely, that the next time she " Didn't really know' about menu items, that she ASK ONE OF THE 4 OTHER People Working there..( I had been a server for 10 yrs, in my late teens & 20s, so I knew the protocol when you're not certain about an item, preparation, substitutions, etc) We most definitely will not be returning to Compadres in...

Leaving this to get the owners attention. The problem is this: when ordering certain dishes, such as the burrito Puerto Vallarta the menu states "Served with rice, beans, lettuce, sour cream, and tomato" (copy pasted from menu) and the burrito is made of " Over-sized burrito stuffed with grilled steak, chicken, rice and beans, topped with chorizo, sweet pineapple, & grilled shrimp. Smothered in our signature queso sauce and salsa verde".

They don't give you the plate of rice, beans, lettuce, sour cream like the description says. I called and asked about this (I've ordered this dish 3 times for take out so far and have only gotten the burrito. 1 time I got a small portion of lettuce and tomato snugged up next to the burrito) and the woman who answered passed the phone off to an angry man who said " the rice and beans are served INSIDE the burrito". If I'm going to order the most expensive thing on the menu at least include what the menu says. The burrito has rice and beans already in it. The menu says it comes with rice and beans and lettuce and sour cream on the side(on top of what's in the burrito). Plus it's not smothered in queso or salsa, I'd call it a light drizzle at best.

Otherwise the experience here is fine. I'm just asking that people do their job, nothing more and nothing less.

I feel like you owe me 3 platters of rice, beans, lettuce, tomato and sour cream like the menu states and nobody cares. That's not cool.

Bump, still no reply...

Have been there for few times, perhaps my recent visit has been the LAST time to go there!

Waitress was rude, not welcoming, not pleasant with me when I showed my student ID. She rolled her eyes and sighed….. brushed me off, meanwhile other young lady took me to table and greeted me quickly.

She brought in chips and salsa, didn’t bring water I asked for, waiting…..

Food I ordered was vegetable dinner - well cooked - didn’t get much pico de gallo and refried bean didn’t taste good. However, vegetables and onions, peppers were good! Pretty overpriced for dinner. Not coming back here and not recommend this place to others. I was disappointed of how was I treated, treated me with disrespect and felt discriminated certain way that made me very uncomfortable and not considering coming back here ever again!!!

They should considering work on improving their customer service and not give negative attitude towards their customers and giving small portions of food for the price! Prices are not...

Waiter was grumpy with little conversation. Meal was standard Mexican. Good flavor, no mushrooms with shrimp Fajita and had to pick tails off to place on Fajita wrap. Female brought check with no asking about dessert. Music and some Mexican decor. No spoons, just fork and knife. Extra napkins a plus. Okay place to eat in Edinboro PA. Perhaps he had a bad day. Tea was overpriced at $3.59

Went there on a Saturday night and were seated quickly. The food was excellent, the service was even better, and the drinks were fablous. Our server, Don, did a fablous job, every was perfect when we went! Glad we went! Thanks Compadres!
