By far the best place around for great food and spirits. The owner is an awesome guy -- I was in there one night and I saw a guy in a pickup truck drive right through the front window! The owner didn't get upset or anything... he said it happens all the time. He gave the guy a fuzzy navel and one of those sandwiches with bread made from folded-over pizza crust to eat on the ambulance ride to the hospital. Delicious! Also I once had a couple of friends come down from Buffalo who had a little too much to drink and no place to stay and he let them sleep over in the bathroom! (for a small fee of course) Another time I was there and in walked Jay-Z and Beyonce! The owner must know them or something. I was going to introduce myself but it looked like they didn't want to be bothered while they ate their soft pretzels and french onion soup. Anyway, don't miss Open Mic Slam Poetry Night on Thursdays... the BEST!!! Also be sure to get your picture taken on the giant purple bar stool in the corner! But watch out for the guy who keeps horse teeth in his pocket and likes to show them off to people... he is...
Read moreDefinitely the worst bar in Edinboro for several reasons. The staff is generally unresponsive to paying customers. In addition to the lack of attention to individuals there is an employee who specializes in malcare of customers. He is bigger and usually wears a hat. His disposition is unfriendly and cruel. This need not stop at him. Hence he is the more experienced staff member on board. He remains unfriendly despite time of day when one seeks to make a purchase. During the special hours at 11:45 I have placed money in front of me awaiting a transaction; however, the staff insisted on serving every other customer around me for the next 30 minutes. In fact, I am still waiting here for them to take my $5, but they do not seem receptive to my money at the end on their bar.
Thank you for reading and I wish the innapropriate conduct towards paying customers not be reciprocated...
Read moreWe had a party of 8 (one came late). We had a nice big table out of the way. Our server was delightful and she kept us comfortable (she checked on us often). My husband usually gets a Wedgie. He talked half of our party into getting them too. Everyone loved them (whoever came up with those, kudos!) We also talked a couple of our friends into the roasted red pepper and gouda soup and everyone who got it loved it.(a trip to the Hotel Bar without roasted red pepper and gouda soup isnt an actual trip, is it?) We also ordered a taco salad to go and they took care to package it carefully (made sure the taco shell bowl didn't get soggy by packaging everything separately). We had a good time and plan to come back another time when we can try the dinner entrees (dinner is served on a...
