I stopped here with my daughter after doing some local shopping on a Saturday afternoon. It was clean and the service was excellent. There were some students studying as well as some locals chatting. There was seating available and it was very comfortable as well as attractive. My daughter had a decaf latte and pumpkin muffin. She said that both were delicious. I ordered a cinnamon roll and hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was perfect. It was delicious and, best of all, the perfect temperature to drink immediately! The cinnamon roll was served warm and so good that I bought a second one. I learned that the owner bakes everything fresh each day and makes sure there are no nuts in the products so people with nut allergies are welcome! Read moreThose who are regulars at the cafe know me well, as do the staff. My first time at Bean and Bear was the 2nd day they were open and I fell in love with the place. A few times of going after that nearly all the staff knew my name! I was there 6 days a week and spent hours doing homework or just chatting and enjoying the amazing lattes and my favorite biscuits! IYKYK! I absolutely adore Katie and my favorite barista Kiera and am so sad I moved away! If you are ever in need of a Lavender OatMilk Latte, a peppermint Mocha latte, or even the “Sky” bean and bear is the place to go!!
The owner uses family recipes for her cinnamon rolls and all her creations, delightful syrups, and maintains a nut free environment.

It did not list that different cheeses costed 30 cents extra. Whipped cream was 60 cents extra, plant-based milk was 75 cents extra, etc. Beware of those little charges if you decide to come here.
While I'm happy to see another local business open around here, I would not recommend this place. I hope they improve...
