Moriko's Teppanyaki Grill — Restaurant in Edinburg

This was my first time trying the food truck for Moriko’s and I was unfortunately disappointed. I was very excited to try the food . First off they didn’t have some items and one the items told me after the fact didn’t have and then offered to refund, which is fine but why wouldn’t you check first I’d have available. For the other thing they let me know in advance wasn’t available so I didn’t purchase. The food was honestly bland . Very little flavor and not enough sauce to the. Teriyaki chicken. Also, some parts of the fried rice and steamed rice was bland as well and hard. It seems like they just got food from heb or a more bland Panda Express and cooked it on the grill. Even Panda Express tastes better even if has more msg and sodium probably. Not to mention it was super expensive one plate was like thirteen dollars . I wouldn’t mind the price if the food quality matched up. Lastly, I know they have an Austin that says be patient we are cooking for you food. So I did wait . I don’t mind waiting but they took awhile and the food wasn’t even worth the wait. The staff are absolutely wonderful, very patient and kind. The food, man was the food made well. It has so much flavor and was cooked tenderly. The wait time is long because they are literally making the food as it is ordered, it is a Teppanyaki grill so it takes time, but it is definitely worth the wait! I went to Morikos at 2708 S Closner Blvd today at 9:29pm. Their Google listing online shows that they are open and will close at 10:00 p.m. They said they were not serving food anymore because they were already closed. Somehow they think 10:00 p.m. is the same as 9:29 p.m. If your kitchen stops serving at 9:29 p.m. then you need to put on the Google listing that you close at 9:29 p.m. Do not lie to people online and say that you will close...
