Kato Sabi is a sushi bar with many sushi options in an intimate setting. My fiancée and I had the Habanero Roll and the Lulu Roll. We didn't ask, but they put the rolls in a wonderful presentation in the form of a heart. We loved it! We loved the ambient music. One suggestion we have is to lower the TV volumes a bit more so we could hear the music a bit better, as the movies or shows playing on the TV could be a little distracting. The rolls tasted great! We loved the shredded sweet potato on the Lulu Roll. Both rolls were fresh, and we loved the creaminess from the cream cheese. We enjoyed our visit here and wish Kato Sabi all the best!

First time trying this restaurant because of a HEB receipt coupon and boy was I happy I tried it with my family! This place didn’t disappoint even for someone who normally doesn’t eat sushi all the time. We tried the rice dish with beef, chicken and shrimp, fantastic! We tried the spicy noodle dish and that had a different flavor, which was great! We also tried two different rolls and that too was good. Then we finished off with a brownie platter dessert that our granddaughter destroyed because it was so good. We will definitely come back.

This sushi spot is 5 mins from our home & just decided to go check it out. We had some lunch specials. Their beef & rice plate came with sauteed veggies and my bf demolished it. I LOVED their Kato Sabi sushi plate was fresh, generous portions, had sushi, sashmi and a roll. (Pic) They are very new and their chef shared how he is working on new ideas for rolls & speciality items. He sounds paasionate & wants to serve great food. Prices are very reasonable and we will for sure be back!

Tried Kato sushi bar for the very first time today, and I can honestly say—it was unforgettable! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was inviting, the aroma was mouthwatering, and the presentation? Pure art. Every bite was a burst of flavor, fresh and perfectly balanced. I had no idea sushi could taste this good!

What really made the experience even more special was our waitress, Grace. She was phenomenal—warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. She guided us through the menu, made some top-tier recommendations, and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. It felt like we were in the hands of a true professional who genuinely cared that we had a great time.

If you’ve never had sushi before or you're looking for a spot that does it right, this place is it. 10/10 would come back again—I'm...

With all the amazing reviews this place had, I had high expectations.

In reality, it was alright. They seemed to be incredibly understaffed. Our entrees didn’t get to our table all at the same time, so some people were left waiting while others had their meal already.

The sushi was good and the calamari appetizer we got was tasty. I got the Lulu roll and my grandma got the Kato Sabi roll. I did enjoy my roll and my grandma’s was also really tasty. My husband got the red dragon roll and he thought it was alright. My mom got the chicken teppanyaki and it was basically grilled chicken with steamed/fried whole vegetables. Underwhelming.

They didn’t have product for half of the sashimis they offered which was disappointing. Overall I may come back, but likely on a weekend when they may hopefully have more...

I really liked this place! The staff was attentive, and the customer service was amazing. The Tatemames were my favorite appetizers—10/10, especially with the sauce they used. I also loved that the other appetizers came on a bed of shredded cucumbers, which added a refreshing touch.

We tried four sushi rolls: the California, Dallas, Sexy, and Caro rolls. The first three were fantastic, but I wouldn’t recommend the Caro roll. It was the last to arrive, and unfortunately, it didn’t hit the mark. At first, I thought the cream cheese was spoiled, but it turned out to be the sauce they used, which none of us at the table enjoyed (and yes, I made everyone try it, lol).

Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I’ll definitely be back—especially when I can try the raw fish, which...
