To the guy below me... Francos doesn't have a website... Whatever prices you saw online were from some online menu company who obviously hasn't updated their own website. This authentic Italian owned pizzeria is owned by a real old-fashioned Italian who came to America from Italy as a young adult. He doesnt have time to manage a website when operating a pizzeria 10am-11pm seven days a week. Unfortunately for humans there's a thing called inflation and when wholesale chicken goes from 1.99 a pound to $2.89 a pound where do you think that extra cost must be passed on to? I myself have shopped at restaurant supply houses and wholesale food costs have gone up more than the 35% you spoke of over the past few years so in fact they've lost profit. Hmmm.
You say the wings were "soggy" but you ordered a WET SAUCE for them. Are you confused? I've been in here eating and seen and heard 10-15 customers in a 20 minute lunch break order their wings so they obviously must be good. I ordered the wings once dry and they were incredible. Jumbo party wings- more meat than you'll find at any chain wing place or other local pizzeria , and less cost, fried in a tastier and healthier oil. (I asked which kind).
I too have had the delayed delivery issue once before and it's an unfortunate consequence of ordering from an extremely busy pizzeria that serves all 30+ square miles of Edison. As long as my food makes it in one piece and it's delicious as always I can't complain that once in a while the delivery runs behind. Have you ever delivered either? Customers themselves can cause delays- having to find cash, wrong or declined credit card, driver gets a flat tire, red light red light red light. It's Edison. It has taken me a half hour to make it down Talmadge road alone before some nights. Too many factors to outright blame the restaurant after one experience of a late delivery.
$1 delivery is too much? Go order frozen dirt from dominos and enjoy paying the $2.50 for some overpriced fake 'food.' Given a majority of customers don't tip in 2016, the dollar is a necessity to bring drivers in the door. Who else is going to blow $5 in gas an hour to make $10 an hour before taxes?
Now, to all. The pizza can't be beat. It won't be. I've pulled in here some weekend days at 955am and pm and found them to be making fresh sauce, fresh dough, fresh chicken. Bennisimo! I've not been a big fan of the Penne Alla Vodka but the chicken and broccoli with garlic and oil was incredible, as was the chicken Caesar salad- they glaze the fresh chicken in a delicious balsamic to jazz it up.
Can't wait to be back there on Sunday for my weekly...
Read moreI was told I could place orders with this restaurant through the BringDat website. I placed an order, but it never went through to the restaurant. When I called, they told me they never received it. They offered to send a driver with a card reader to deliver my pizza, but they weren't sure if I would be charged extra for using it.
When I asked for clarification, the person on the phone became rude and said, "I'm asking you, do you want the pizza or not?" I said no, and they hung up on me.
This is extremely poor customer service. I've been a frequent customer, but due to that employee's attitude, I will never do business with them again and would advise others to find a pizza place with better customer service and manners.
Update: I contacted this restaurant again today, and the owner gave me his personal number to send my email to him. He said he would then call BringDat to get my refund. This is after they charged me for the order the day after the initial incident, even though they claimed they never received it.
When I first called, the employee insisted they didn't have the number for BringDat and started yelling at me when I tried to explain the situation.
I've been a customer for four years, but this experience has been eye-opening. The rudeness and poor customer service are shocking, and I would definitely not recommend them. It's clear they don't know how to treat their customers...
Read moreI ordered pizza from Franco’s Pizza on 10/6/24 through the SLICE app and had a very disappointing experience. This was my fourth time ordering from this place. I ordered the SUPREME PIZZA and specifically requested sausage, mushrooms, and green peppers as toppings.
However, I received a pizza with mushrooms, sausage, ham, and pepperoni instead. When I brought this to the staff’s attention, they refused to acknowledge their mistake and offered no solution. The person on the phone was defensive and kept rambling, asking why I ordered the Supreme Pizza if I didn’t want ham and pepperoni. Even though you can choose which toppings to add based on your preference. I had ordered the same pizza three times before through the SLICE app and got the correct order every time except this time. It felt like I had to teach the person on the phone how to do their job.
The lack of accountability and poor customer service left a bad taste in my mouth. I won’t be returning and can’t recommend this...
