we were 5 adults the bill was $250. we had skipped breakfast so we were hungry and ordered a good amount of food. all vegetarian.
soup we ordered the spicy coconut one and the tomyum was excellent. amount was okay we shared in 1 by 2
lotus appetiser: was good a little too sweet in my opinion but it can be good
gobi munchurian was good flavourful but a little too soggy
dumplings: was okay not great the filling was not enough.
thai fried rice: nothing thai about this. tasted like plain fried rice was good but not sure where the thai part comes in?
schezwan noodles was good. lots of flavour
chilli garlic fried rice was good loved it
sizzler brownie was good was exciting to see it come our on the sizzler
cassata ice cream was good too
portion size i think is a little small for the price. nothing is reasonable or cheap here in my opinion
quality is good however not great. one thing we loved we are all vegetarians but not jain having said that we eat garlic but if it is overpowering then we find it difficult to eat. but here it was perfect.
really wish they increase the quantity a little as its too less for the price. like 1 dish you cannot really share with 5 people everyone will get like 1 spoon. so you have to order 2 of each.
atmosphere/ambiance is nice they have outdoor seating which i can imagine will be nice when the weather is nice
service was good.
would we eat here again? hmmmm maybe yes but not anytime soon. like once a year cos...
Read moreWe went for Dinner (3/23/19 around 8:30pm - Edison) with a party of 12. The manager was kind enough to offer us a separate room (the ones which has fish tank under the glass table) to accommodate all of us and we are thankful for that. Crispy lotus stem was too good that we ended up ordering 3 plates. When we received our entrees, especially "Vegetable manchurian", my friend found a "strand of hair" inside the manchurian which we took out and kept it on the side of the table. Though my friend wanted to report this, I persuaded him not to as that might have been slip up. Then, we ordered "tutti frutti" ice cream for our kids which had "long strand of hair". We called the manager in and showed it to him along the once we pulled out of vegetable maunchurian. He replaced the plate of ice cream, but did not do much about the manuchurian. Even when we paid our check, the items which strand of hair were not removed. We have been to this restaurant many times and we loved the food. We were appalled and disgusted by this and have decided to never visit this place again. We hope management takes care of food hygiene seriously. This is also posted to caution others visiting...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Ming Restaurant, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with modern decor that still feels cozy and intimate.
As for the food, every dish we tried was an absolute delight. The hot and sour soup had the perfect balance of flavors — tangy and spicy with just the right amount of heat. The Kung Pao chicken was a standout, with tender chicken chunks, crispy corn, and a rich, savory sauce that wasn’t overly greasy. I also highly recommend the steamed dumplings — they were delicate and juicy,
For the main course, the duck bbq was cooked to perfection, with thinly sliced duck that was tender and caramelized in a savory sauce. The vegetables added just the right crunch and freshness. We also tried the fried rice, which was perfectly seasoned and complemented every dish we had.
Service was attentive without being overbearing, and our server was happy to offer recommendations, which added to the overall positive experience.
If you’re looking for authentic, flavorful Chinese cuisine with excellent service, Ming Restaurant is definitely...
