I'm giving this store three stars due to the disappointing customer service my friend and I received during our visit on Saturday, February 3rd. We came all the way from Boston with the intention of buying dresses for an event after checking out various stores on Oak Tree Road.
Despite being impressed by the collection, quality, and reasonable prices, our experience was marred by the behavior of the staff. There were two salespeople at the store. One, with short hair, seemed disinterested and had a rude demeanor. She made it clear she had no intention of assisting us, treating us as if we were there for freebies.
At one point, we needed to see something from a top rack and asked if we could see that. Despite having a step stool next to her, the lady with the short hair shrugged her shoulders and told us, "You are tall; you can get it. " And believe it or not, we had to get it on our own.
Despite spending nearly $1300 between my friend and me, the lady with short hair didn't even offer a smile. She rushed to settle the accounts and seemed eager to send us away when we were browsing the jewelry section. In contrast, the other lady was welcoming and encouraged us to revisit the store.
While the store has an excellent collection, quality, and prices, the behavior of the staff may drive customers away. It's disheartening to wonder if the poor treatment is based on a general perception that Indian stores/restaurants mistreat their Indian customers while being more welcoming to others. Your store has potential, but the staff's attitude needs...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreRita and Niketa gave us an incredible experience! The customer service was great from the moment we arrived. My friend and I were down to the last minute, shopping for wedding outfits because previous plans to find something at home had fallen through. We arrived with only 45 minutes left that evening to find something, because the wedding was the next morning. We talked about budget and they smiled and said they would find us something great. They asked a few questions about sizing and style, as we were looking for something ready-to-wear to an Indian wedding which had a mix of traditional and contemporary looks and ceremony choices. Rita and Niketa immediately scanned us by eye and had outfits and options ready. For me, the first one I went back with was the ONE. My friend found a designer blouse that looked great with the dupattÄ brought ahead from India. I found some gorgeous jewelry to complement my bright chartreuse color set as well, with assistance. (I appreciate that the jewelry is also crafted with such high quality, because I can get allergic reactions to some metals.) Pure Elegance has something of quality for everyone. You get what you pay for, there is incredible service, and I would recommend them to anyone. We are grateful for our looks and memories...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just visited the store as my mother stated there are a few pieces she would like me to see. I was deciding if I wanted to keep the pieces and asked to use the bathroom. After looking through the store again, I decided to browse one more boutique nearby and stated I would be back. The sales associate stated that next time, if we are not purchasing we cannot use the bathroom. I stated if she had stated it was paying customers only I would not have used the facility to wash my hands and gone elsewhere. She continued to argue with me that we seemed promising however it is not right we changed our mind and should have known the policy (which is nowhere written). Sadly, I likely would have been back but I will absolutely never go back and warn others before going. I am a frequent buyer of Indian clothes however never once had an experience like this on Oak Tree Road or with any associate ever. If this is how their employees are taught to welcome guests, I donāt trust their product either and am glad to have learned...
