This has been a long time coming. It is difficult to rate down one of my family’s favorite places to eat. We have enjoyed Panera Bread for a decade or so. Whether at home or on trips around the country, we always knew what we would be getting when we ordered. We liked the selections and were comfortable paying the price. Panera is one of the only restaurants I can say, that I have tried virtually every option they offer. That for me, says volumes.
Speaking of volumes, is the reason for this post. Over the years, I have noticed that the prices are going higher and higher, and the portions are less and less. It has been noticeable for years now, but I think I tried writing it off as a store or employee issue. There was enough randomness to it to overlook it as a systemic concern. Last night out me over.
When my wife and kids said, “What do you want from Panera, dad?”, I pulled out my app and searched for what sounded good today... “Mnnnnmmm, the Steak and white cheddar sandwich with horseradish dressing sounds like a winner!” The orders were promptly placed and within the next 30-40 minutes, I had driven over, picked up the food, and had it on the table.
I opened up my sandwich to take in the vision of my fare for the evening, and sat stunned. The sandwich comes divided in half and with both halves laid bare, I could not believe what I saw- three small thin pieces of (steak?) and no visible signs of cheese- melted or otherwise, on buns smeared sparingly with dressing. The outer thirds of each bun were dry. I blinked. I tried to understand. The over $10 price tag on this disappointment was choking me. My wife, always the graceful sage said, “Why don’t you combine the meat on one half? You don’t need all that bread anyway.” I complied, reluctantly.
Even with the combined meat on a smaller playing field- it was an insult to my expectations. It was then at that moment, I decided that for what it is worth, I would review Panera Bread Co. They are dangerously close to extinction from our future considerations.
I hope they can return to the quality and value that one time, set them apart, in the...

This is definitely an original or an older Panera location which means way more seating as well as more private secluded areas for studying. The location does have some cosmetic flaws just things that have been worn out over time and it's not a priority mainly just wear and tear. But with it being an older location it's definitely not unreasonable. This is a weekly location spot where I meet up with some friends. If you are going to go more than two times a month definitely consider signing up for the sips Club it'll save you money in the long run. I do have to say the service that I've received at this location is always stellar and outstanding I really appreciate the food prep folks that work on Saturday mornings they're always very happy and bright and positive and so nice. As far as their breakfast sandwiches go they're really good definitely try to customize and make your own sandwich if you're going to pay what you pay for them they're a little expensive in my opinion so make sure you're customizing and getting what you want from them. As always there bagels and walnut cream cheese is always the best and probably always will be the best cream cheese ever. Hard to go wrong with a good cinnamon crunch Panera Bread bagel. Their coffee is very good especially the dark roast they're cold drinks the bubbler drinks are really good as well. Lots of options for those who do not drink soda like myself. This is a location that I hope stays around and does not go anywhere. The management that is present is always working just as hard with everybody and in the trenches making sure that orders are being taken care of that orders are getting out in a timely fashion that people are being trained correctly that things are taken care of in a timely fashion. I also want to apply Panera Bread for the diverse Staffing that they have I really commend a place that can be so diverse yet deliver the same product that I've come to know for more...
Read more3/7/2023. My mom wanted to eat soup there so I took her but I should have gone somewhere else. They said they would call my name but I kept hearing the word 4 called out. I finally went and asked and it was our order and my soup was cold and my turkey looked grayish and smelled weird so I only ate half my sandwich thinking I shouldn't eat it at all. I ordered another kind of soup chicken rice since my mom wanted more soup but the chicken looked darker gray than the turkey so I picked it all out but then I found huge amounts of onion so I tossed most of it. They don't have any decent tea. It's unsweetened and the fountain tea tastes wangy horrible too so I should have got more Pepsi instead to go. The only thing that tasted really good was the brownie. The broccoli cheddar soup would have been good if it was at least warm. The bread with the soup was okay. We spent too much money for the quality of the food and how long it sat getting cold. Not taking her back there again. They sell broccoli cheddar soup by Panera bread at the grocery store so she can just microwave it next time. -Sad thing is most of the restaurants in Edmond have problems that would never happen in other cities for some...
