Edmond Railyard is a host for multiple food venues that range from a coffee shop, bar, pie place, ice cream, pizza, saucy chicken wings, Ramen noodles, Cajun, to even an Italian restaurant. Some venues open up to the outdoor elements but most of the restaurants are accessible within an indoor environment that is occasionally opened up with two huge garage doors that are positioned on the north and south sides of the building. This venue has a food truck concept but in a permanent building. The building hours are not reflective of each restaurants individual hours, some restaurants close before the actual building closes and other businesses open before the main building opens, such as the coffee shop. So it is best to check the hours of the restaurant of interest before visiting. The only real downside to this venue are the restrooms which are multistalled, not well ventilated and are not always kept clean and have a handicap stall but are not really wheelchair friendly due to the narrow isle that is in front of the sinks. Also their is no family restroom for when family members or care takers of different genders need to assist those in wheelchairs. The northern entrance to the main portion of the building is a bit difficult to enter with a wheelchair. Their is a narrow wheelchair ramp that access a side door that has a high threshold and has no button that opens or holds the door open while entering. The weight or force of the door that tries to close it also makes it difficult to maneuver a wheelchair through with the high threshold. The narrow ramp also prevents the ability to rotate a wheelchair before entering. So it is best for individuals in wheelchairs to enter from the south entrance not the north entrance. But overall this venue is a great location to visit in the downtown Edmond area and is great for...
Read moreNot sure how I feel... Really this is not OKC, this is not the collective or the Parlor.. it's honestly not what it should be. All the spots basically have their own spot. Their own seating, their own... There a small handful of benches in front of each spot outside (each venue) and they are rare when every spot is busy. We were asked by the pizza place not to use napkins because we didn't order anything from there. The table we were at was outside the actual store in the common eating area. So we have assumed the tables outside of each restaurant is stocked by that place and each place seems to frown on sitting where a space is available unless it's front of the place you specifically ordered... (We didn't feel exactly welcomed)
The Mexican restaurant was rated average. It's good but not anything special. In fact 8 of us believe there are much better places.
The other party tried the wing place. While the wings were good (grilled fyi) they majorly lacked sauce. Recommendation ask for extra sauce on the side. The average/medium heat dishes we tried had 0 heat. We were told by bartender to customer order everything, that's the way it is. We don't feel that having to custom order anything spicy as "spicy". I felt like we were told to only order custom because everything is average.
Overall the food was average, nothing special from 2 different spots. I will say the pizza coming out of the brick oven looked amazing and is on my list to try. I would also eat the wings again but ask for extra sauce.
The best place about this spot is actually the ice cream and the homemade waffle cones that are thick and full of vanilla.
Overall I rate this area as average and honestly below average. It''s trying to be something it...
Read moreUpdate: I've officially tried all the eateries now, minus the pie place that JUST opened. (Will update when I do.)
I will say that I still enjoy the Lounge for good food, drinks, and service. Brunch is especially yum.
The wing place is pricy but okay. Just not my thing.
The pizza place is super good (the Angry Bee is my favorite).
Gogi Go has raised their prices, but quality has dropped--bummer.
The taco place has yummy margaritas and burritos, but watch out for soggy tortillas on the street tacos that fall apart.
The burger place is decent and typical fare.
And the ice cream place is always a treat with its rotating menu and dairy free options.
Again, I love being able to bring friends or family here and sit wherever and everyone gets what they want. The whole venue is always clean and well maintained both...
