**TL;DR:** Dick's offers quality burgers and ice cream at extremely competitive prices, reminiscent of a bygone era. Charming aesthetic, uniformed staff, and top-notch food make it a must-visit fast food spot. **Full Review:** Dick's is a shining example of what regional fast food chains should aspire to be. From the moment you step near their establishment, you're transported to a nostalgic era of uniformed staff and a charming aesthetic that feels timeless. What sets Dick's apart, aside from its delightful ambiance, are the prices. Where else can you find a plain hamburger for $2.50 or a basic ice cream for just $3? The affordability here is unmatched, and the flavor rivals even the quality chains like Five Guys. We opted for the deluxe burgers paired with fries, and we were not disappointed. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and reminiscent of classic American diner fare. Each bite was a testament to the quality ingredients and attention to detail that Dick's prides itself on. The fries were equally satisfying—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and perfectly salted. They complemented the burgers wonderfully, making for a satisfying and complete meal. The staff at Dick's were courteous and efficient, adding to the overall pleasant experience. Their commitment to providing excellent service further enhances the dining experience. Dick's is a hidden gem among fast food chains. With its charming aesthetic, crisply uniformed staff, extremely competitive prices, and high-quality food, it's a place that exceeds expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend Dick's to anyone looking for a taste of nostalgic Americana and great food at unbeatable prices. I can only hope to come across more chains like it in my culinary adventures. --- You can find me on Insta: @imdanielyoon

I don’t need to tell you that Dick’s has the best burgers in the northwest, or even in America because that is of course entirely subjective. These burgers aren’t fancy or have outlandish ingredients, nor are the fries triple cooked in duck fat and sprinkled with sea salt or any of that nonsense. The fries are instead both crisp and tender, skin on, hot and very tasty. The burgers hark back to the fifties when things were simpler, you simply can’t go wrong when you order a Dick’s Deluxe. The menu is limited, the prices are low and the service is fast. Honestly, what more do you want from a drive-in burger restaurant? I visited this location on a Friday around 11:30 and it was busy, having said that service was pretty much instantaneous and I didn’t have to wait long at all. There are plenty of windows and the food is damn good. Decent sized car park as well, which is good because this isn’t a sit in place. I only wish there was a Dick’s closer to where I live, I had to travel over 4,500 miles to finally get my fix and I can’t wait to go back.

🎶 Regrets. Regrets. Very Bad Burgers - 2 Stars - Soggy fries are a deal breaker at a place that has only 4 menu items (burgers, fries, ice cream, drinks). I don’t have a clue where the other ratings come from. The burgers were flat in shape and flavor. The main photo you see for this location is the work of a good food photographer. The actual burgers are rather tiny, although probably the proper weight before cooking. The fries were extra floppy. I think the fryers are overtaxed. If the fryer isn’t hot enough, then fries soak up extra oil. The shake was fine. Although I regretted eating here, it’s worth more than a single star. It was not dirty and while service lacked any distinction, they weren’t aggressively rude, just flat like the food. In the fry photo you’ll see the soggy mess our 4 orders of fries made. They turn and burn by not allowing customization of any sort.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dick’s Drive-In may not wear the white tablecloths of Michelin-starred establishments, but its culinary mastery is nothing short of extraordinary. A Seattle institution since 1954, Dick’s elevates simplicity to an art form, delivering an experience that transcends the humble burger joint.

The burgers are a revelation in restraint and quality. Each bite of the Deluxe Burger is a perfect harmony of flavors: tender, freshly grilled patties, crisp lettuce, creamy mayonnaise, and a tangy relish that dances on the palate. The cheddar cheese is a masterpiece in itself, melting effortlessly to create a velvety richness that lingers long after the last bite.

Fries here are not merely a side—they are a testament to Dick’s commitment to freshness. Hand-cut from Pacific Northwest potatoes daily, they boast a golden, crispy exterior and a soft, flavorful interior that whispers of the soil they were lovingly harvested from.

And then there are the milkshakes—silken, luxurious, and hand-dipped with real ice cream. Whether you choose vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry, each sip is a nostalgic ode to perfection, the kind of treat that transforms an ordinary day into an extraordinary one.

The ketchup is a culinary curveball, offering a sweeter profile that pairs impeccably with both the fries and burgers. It’s these thoughtful details—this insistence on doing simple things exceptionally well—that sets Dick’s apart.

The service is as fast as it is friendly, a seamless operation that mirrors the precision of a fine dining brigade. And while there are no reservations or gilded menus, the sense of place, community, and history is unmistakably Michelin-worthy.

Dick’s Drive-In proves that excellence isn’t about excess—it’s about doing the basics brilliantly. If the Michelin Guide ever sought to celebrate the soul of American fast food, this unassuming gem would...

Simply put, it is THE basic drive-in burger you get in the Greater Seattle Area.

The regular, single cheeseburger is like a better version of the McDonald's single burger, and has a vaguely addictive, bet-you-can't-eat-just-one quality to it.

The Deluxe is delicious if you want something heftier and enjoy a zesty relish sauce (I do, though I understand it's not for everyone).

French fries are always dependent on one's personal preference; everybody has their own way they like them done. Dick's fries are thoroughly greasy and salty—I adore them, but again, others may not feel the same way. If you prefer a thicker, more potatoe-y fry or a crispier, less greasy fry, than they're probably not for you.

My favorite order is one regular cheeseburger, one Deluxe, and one order of fries (plus a drink, of course). I usually grab a soda, but Dick's shakes are great when you want more of a treat.

Service is fast, friendly, and convenient. One of my favorite things about Dick's is that they take very good care of their employees; it's always nice knowing that you're giving your money to a company that looks after their own.

UPDATE: I made this review during a promotional event for the Everett Dick's location, prior to its grand opening (that's why the photos show it under construction). It has since opened. Also, you can expect the same experience from all...
