I cannot believe it has taken me this long to finally get here. When I lived in STL, I had a SOTS close to my home and I dined there on the regular. Even though I am thrilled to have one on the IL side of the river, it's a half hour drive to enjoy.

The other day I was running errands and shopping in Edwardsville. I made it a point to do it around the lunch hour, so I could enjoy an calzone. I ordered at the counter as you do and lucky for me, the cashier was patient with me. As I ordered, I kept reading the menu and changed my mind two times and finally stayed with my third choice. Having a love of jalapeños, Pancho Villa was my final choice.

Pancho Villa not only gave my fresh jalapeños, it was also filled with red peppers, smoked cheddar, Mozzarella and the meat was Chorizo prepared in Smoked Chili Oil. Yum-Yum and no heartburn. For dipping or spreading on top, I was given a cup of Queso.

One nice thing about SOTS, is they offer adult beverages. They have an excellent selection of local craft beers and wines to pair with your calzone. I paired mine with, Pale Ale from Schlafly.

The dining room is clean and crisp. It's done in an industrial style. They have regular tables and a few hightop tables, so you can choose which one is best for you. On the tables you'll find linen napkins with reusable flatware.

If you can eat an entire calzone, I am impressed. For those of us who cannot, next to the soda machine is a stack of eco-friendly to-go boxes to put your leftovers in,...

The guy working the front counter tn must be completely burnt out or fried, had to come inside to get my pick up order after waiting outside for almost an hour(yes they were informed i was there) he came outside to get my name after i had waited there for 40 mins and the only reason he did was because the person parked behind me in line had to go in and complain about no one answering their calls or ignoring everyone’s curbside takeout orders. After 15 more mins went by, i went inside to see what’s going on and the same guy asks me what my name was and then proceeds to tell me “yea i looked for your order and name in the system but couldn’t find anything” so i guess he just chose to disregard me and my order and was looking behind me like he was waiting to help the next person in line. After i asked for him to look up my order number he goes in the kitchen and asks if someone had an order for my name and of course, it was done and waiting for me in the fridge(all i ordered was a small salad) he brings it to me and goes “i thought for whatever reason you ordered a calzone so that’s what i was looking for” wtfffffff i never said nothing about my order besides my name! Other than that the food was great but if this guy is working when or if i come back then ill ask for assistance from...

I got the Meat Me in St Louie with mods. I didn't want sausage, so I discarded that and the mascarpone cheese, and added mushrooms. They still left the sausage on. So I didn't get to enjoy my lunch because sausage isn't a topping I like. I must say, the texture seems really awesome, but I can't eat my lunch and I paid a decent bit to have it delivered as I work from home with a baby so I cannot always leave. I hope this gets made right somehow, but right now, I cant say I want to order again.

EDIT I spoke to the manager at the Edwardsville location, and her alone has made me want to give it another try. She is truly caring and they want the best for their customers. I wont say what she did, but she has definitely gone above and beyond my expectations to make it right. I will give a 5 star review now based just on my conversation with her.

I will order again this week and give them...

Just tried for the first time and it was fantastic. Dining out alone is usually kinda uncomfortable but here I actually enjoyed sitting alone at the bar. The food was out before my beer was halfway gone which is saying a lot considering how busy they were. My meat me in St. Louis calzone was delicious and large enough that once I was full I had plenty for lunch the next day. Service was great. Employees and management were very attentive, warm and welcoming. It was a little loud (literally my only qualm). Overall it was an awesome dining experience and I highly recommend for lone diners or treating family and friends.

My husband and I absolutely love Sauce on the side so we were excited to hear they were coming to Edwardsville! We ensured we were there opening day to support them! They have outstanding food that is delicious and some of the best calzones in my opinion! I highly recommend the Duke! My husband has been doing the Fold. The staff were more than welcoming and ensuring everything was well taken care of! I'm allergic to dairy do they came to make sure I didn't want cheese on top and offered the vegan cheese as an alternative which was super nice of them!! We highly recommend!!!
