Dunkin' — Restaurant in Effingham

Effingham, Illinois dunkn is the worst dunkn I have ever been to. I am a long time and loyal customer. I have been to many different locations, even in different states. I am an avid coffee drinker and go to dunkn nearly every day, sometimes twice a day.

My visit to the Effingham location today was awful. I ordered ahead on the app, it took over 20 minutes for the employees to get 4 cars through the drive thru. When we finally got to the window, they had the order wrong, and forgot my bacon avocado toast. When we told them, they had very bad attitudes about it. They gave me the toast after another 15 minutes of waiting, and it was wrong. They forgot the bacon, we told them, they took it back and threw a few pieces of nasty maple bacon on it that looked not all the way cooked. The toast was burned and they didn't get the spread on one corner at all. They were very rude about it, it took over 40 minutes to get away from the window. There were half a dozen vehicles behind me waiting in line. At one point I watched an employee go out to their vehicle and grab a cigarette. This is the second time in a week that I have had extremely poor and rude service. I attached a picture of the toast that they gave me. I had to throw it away after paying for it and waiting...

Just visited this location and I am VERY disappointed with what occured. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant and it was made with LITERALLY 1 piece of ham. And I mean that one slice didn't even cover the palm of my hand!! I took pictures and I will post if possible. The staff told me that the ham egg and cheese normally only comes with 2 pieces and they will NOT substitute my egg for ham then they only put one slice on my sandwich..... I thought at first this was a joke and even asked the staff if it was!! I'm not understanding how this corporation thinks that it is acceptable to charge almost $4 for this!! They did offer to remake the sandwich and put 2 slices on it instead..... (And when I say slices I mean little tiny extra thin slices like that comes in the Buddin ham from the grocery store where the whole pack is .99.) RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!! I've never particularly cared for Dunkin but thought I'd try it again, BIG mistake. I'M DONE WITH DUNKIN!! Photo was added to this page...

Stopped in for a donut and a coffee. Their coffee was really good, and the donut I purchased was okay. It's not as fresh as I would have liked, though. I guess the time of day you purchase a pastry here is key to getting a really fresh and tasty product. I'm not sure, really. I got it to go, so I didn't notice my stale donut until I was back on the road. I'll probably only visit this place earlier in the day to ensure a better quality and fresher pastry. Next time I visit, I'll post a new and updated review. I usually give a business more than one chance to get it right. The service was good, though. They were professional and courteous. I'll be going back soon to give this Dunkin' Donuts another try to see if it was an issue of...
