Dear Taco Bell Management and Franchise Owners,
I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent experience at your Effingham, restaurant. My wife and I have been loyal customers for many years to Taco Bell and this community’s restaurant; frequently enjoying the Chili Cheese Burrito, a menu item we’ve appreciated across various locations in Texas, Louisiana, and beyond.
This morning, we attempted to order this burrito, only to find it unavailable via the online ordering system. Upon arrival at the restaurant, we were initially informed by a kind and helpful employee and older gentleman, that it was still available despite not being listed digitally. However, when this employee consulted with the General Manager, our experience took a negative turn.
The General Manager, instead of addressing our inquiry professionally, responded from her office with a dismissive and inappropriate tone, placing blame on the online ordering system and DoorDash platforms! Not even, I’m sorry to hear that. Her refusal to engage in a respectful conversation with us, and her lack of introduction, was particularly disappointing. When has it become customary to yell from your office seat at your customer at about 30 feet away.
Furthermore, the quality of the burritos we eventually received was substandard. The shells were old and fragile, crumbling with the first bite. This suggests a potential issue with food freshness and inventory management.
I believe this incident highlights a concerning lack of customer service training and potentially a systemic problem with food quality control. I urge you to address these matters promptly, ensuring that future customers are treated with respect and receive fresh, high-quality food. I trust you will take appropriate action to rectify this situation. If not your restaurant will follow the same factors of most here in Effingham. I’m very saddened by this factor and my experience today. Please, due better...
Read moreThe Taco Bell experience was the worst one of the worst experiences we have ever gone through in our life. My girlfriend ordered through the app so she could pick up her food. She waited for over 45 minutes for a mobile app and the customer service was so rude. Nobody had anything organized. My girlfriend stood there while she saw people picking up their food, which they ordered after her. Nobody checked in on her. The coworkers were fighting with each other in the back. When they finally called her name after literally over over 45 minutes at this point the guy almost forgot one of her food items and handed it to us. And when I was grabbing the food, the person handing the food over, got yelled at by maybe the manager, saying that he should not be handing the food to me, and instead of it handed it to My girlfriend, but also my girlfriend was standing right behind me so that just seemed weird and embarrassing because we were the only people of color in this establishment and nobody said sorry. That was extremely rude. You need to fire all of your staff because they were extremely unprofessional, and it also wasn't fair that my girlfriend saw that. The cashier was giving free taco tickets or something to people who are waiting for a long time and she didn't get anything. This experience was so bad that she put in a complaint with Taco Bell corporate to inform them that these employees need to have an ethics class on how to treat their employees and also treat their customers. Because they seemed like Extremely unprofessional, we will never be at the establishment again and I recommend that nobody comes here because it's not worth the time...
Read moreMy husband and I are semi truck drivers, we stopped at this Taco Bell around 10:30pm ish. First thing we noticed when we walked in was that no one was at the register everyone was in the back and they would walk by and not even care to come and assist us. After 5 min of waiting she took our order I specifically ordered CHICKEN chalupas I repeated myself 4X! That we wanted CHICKEN We DO NOT EAT BEEF per our RELIGION. And we paid $52.10 just to get to the truck and take a bite the chalupas and to taste that they were made of beef. We spent all this money and could not even eat anything! This facility is so unorganized and unprofessional, disrespectful I made clear that we wanted Chicken! We spent all that money for nothing! This is the worst experience EVER! Do not recommend!! As a Truck driver we go hours without being able to stop and grab something to eat due to high demand of deliveries. And all we wanted was to enjoy our food and be on our way they had one JOB! SMH what a shame I wish I would have read the previous reviews I would have avoided this situation. SMH SMH!!...
