Wendy's — Restaurant in Effingham

Came here after taking the kids to McDonald's because I wanted Wendy's, I go to drive through and wait for 15 min because it's backed up, one kid says I have to use the bathroom, he's old enough to go in while I sit waiting in drive through, told him to wait for me by the other side entrance, after I order the other kid with me says I have to use the bathroom, I get out of the drive thru line and park. I go inside stand in line since there is only one single bathroom, there was one lady waiting so I tell my daughter to wait while I go and let the counter worker lady know, I tell her my order and let her know that I was in the drive-through line waiting, but I had a child that had to use the bathroom. So she doesn't mistakenly give my order to somebody else and messes it all up, they acted confused; but another girl walked up; repeated my order and I said " Yes, that's it", She put it in the bag and set it to the side. I went back to take my daughter to the bathroom. When I come out, I stand and go back to the counter, The lady said you're gonna have to stand in line because you haven't paid meanwhile theres 8 people in front of me after 15 minutes of waiting I get to the front she then walks away and starts doing other things almost like it was on purpose; so I sat there and waited another 3-5 minutes. She comes back and takes my order and I said I already ordered, I just have to pay, she said yeah you're gonna have to order and wait for your food again. I then just walked out. I was at Wendys for a total of 45-50 minutes!! Horrible service!!! This was handle horrible, I am someone that worked in the food industry previously this wasn't the way to handle something like this. Meanwhile she had two registers and then at one point there was no one in the drive through they could have allowed me to pay. I will not...

This place was absolutely atrocious! The service was absolutely horrible. I think instead of worrying about talking with co-workers the girl taking orders on Monday night could've actually done her job. She takes our order I tell her a $4 for 4 with a double stack. She rings up only the double stack. So I tell her again my order she asks what sauce for the nuggets I say BBQ. Now the lady wanted a sour cream & chive baked potato. She replies a plain baked potato, I say no sour cream & chives.

We get to the window to pay & the lady now decides she wants a double stack too! So the girl gets an attitude about it. We get our food & drive away down the highway only to discover no BBQ sauce for the nuggets, & her potato was infact plain even after being told twice sour cream & chives. All this being said I wouldn't recommend this Wendy's even in an apocalypse!

There is no clear leader in this establishment and it shows in the performance and conduct of the employees, this will be my first and last visit sadly. No gloves are being worn, no beard nets are being worn. You get the impression that a few of the employees are "Too Cool" to be working at this establishment. I didn't appreciate requesting something and having the woman that was working the register whisper something to her co-worker... There's a sentiment growing in America that embodies a lack of desire to serve the public. These younger people have no pride in their work and are way too sensitive when it comes to correction.

If you don't like your job, leave... if you don't love it, leave it. It's that simple. Other than that keep your personal beliefs at home and come to your place of employment ready to serve. Grow...
