Blarney Stone Pub — Restaurant in El Cajon

I would have given this bar a four or even five star rating if it wasn’t for the patrons that were there. My husband and I were waiting for a pool table for over an hour and once we had gotten one, we had only played two games. (The bartender had informed us that we have to put our names on the board and when the people before us are done playing, then it is our turn. It wasn’t the sort of thing where if you lose, the next person on the list plays the winner.) An older patron woman came up to us on the start of our third game and very rudely asked if we were “going by this??” (The white board that we had our names on for over an hour waiting very patiently to play). Not even five minutes before this interaction, I had gone to use the restroom and another woman came up to my husband and said “you’re done playing??” And he replied with “no, my wife is in the restroom; we are still playing” overall it’s a good atmosphere and the bartender and other patrons were very nice except for the fact that when I took off my jacket I was very intensely stared at which made me and my husband feel uncomfortable. I don’t know who was bartending tonight but she had long red hair and it is Veterans Day - 2020. She was a sweetheart. Thank you for being so nice to us. Karaoke DJ is patient, accommodating and helpful when adjusting key to music and songs that I wanted to sing. Bar tenders are good listeners, polite, friendly, and are skilled at making drinks. The people that hang out there that know each other treat one another like family. A few customers get a little flirty but that's to be expected..lol!. I enjoy the music, singing and people.I didn't have any food but I'm sure it's good. I heard they have a large crowd on Friday and Saturdays and Karaoke nights often. Don't waste your time on this place......a bunch of rude low life's that come here and the security at the front denied me entry for no reason at all........I'm pretty sure it was a race thing as I'm Hispanic and it's mostly a white crowd...sad to see that there people in this world that still think in such a way.....would never come back again after being treated in such a way.....stay away from this place at all costs plenty of other bar's in The area that would be happy to take your money and welcome u in their established...
