I just walked in. Food looks good. No one greeted me. I stood there for a second and no one even noticed me. I walked up to the counter and no one would even make eye contact with me. I stood there and waited and another girl (of the same culture as the restaurant workers) walked up beside me and stood there. The waitress walked from the back to bring food out to a table. I made eye contact with her the whole way to the table and watched her as she came back. She would not look up to acknowledge me. I said hello as she passed by me. She said hello back and kept walking passed me. She walked around the counter and asked the girl who walked in a couple minutes after me if she could help her. As she continued to help the other girl, I looked around trying to get anyone standing within ten feet of me to even acknowledge me...to no avail. They completely ignored me. That was the worst a restaurant (or any customer service related business) has made me feel in all my life. The staff not only portrayed complete indifference. They acted surprised or repulsed that I was even in there. Excuse me for wanting to try your...

I was looking for some good food in the area when I noticed the restaurant. I looked at the menu on the wall and I chose beef shawarma sandwich, for 12. 99 and added a combo- a veggi side , fried and a drink for 4.99. Come to find out they are out of the beef shawarma , I chose the other beef in the same menu, then I ask for the fries and salad, I see the staff added 5.99 and 7.99 which was confusing so I asked again how come he was adding a charge, he said the menu prices on the wall has to be updated. I told him that's misrepresentation. Well, its going to be hard to cancel as I've already decided to order. I got home the food is dry, the sandwich did not come with any sauce that restaurants like this place are usually famous for, my fries got soggy as I went home on a 25 min drive. The salad very small for the price i paid for. The sandwich itself was ok, the bread a little doughy

I wish I could have experienced this place with a...

If you have extra money you don’t care about, go to Al Saray and throw it away there. You’ll get burnt food and zero Taste.

EVEN THE STAR IS A LOT FOR YOUR BUSINESS

We ordered kabab, liver, and beef tikka, and specifically asked for everything to be cooked medium rare. Unfortunately, all the food came out completely overcooked. The kabab was burnt to the point that it was inedible—it literally tasted like burnt charcoal. The liver and beef tikka were tough and dry, like chewing on rubber. Very disappointing experience. We won’t be ordering from here again.

I have a picture of the plates so disgusting

Message to the owner: If you can’t run the business properly, maybe it’s time to close it. Clearly, we’re not the only ones who received burnt, inedible food. It’s unacceptable and reflects...

Absolutely Delicious – A Must-Visit in San Diego! We recently visited Saray Restaurant during our vacation in San Diego, coming all the way from Arizona to meet up with our friends (who are also family). This was actually our third time dining at Saray, and just like every time before—it was absolutely amazing! The food is consistently delicious, full of flavor, and served fresh. You can truly taste the quality and authenticity in every dish. It’s hard to pick a favorite because everything we’ve tried has been outstanding! The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. It’s become a tradition for us now—every time we’re in San Diego, Saray is a must. Highly recommended! We will definitely be back again and again.

This isn’t our first time at this restaurant, but I felt compelled to leave a review for the owner and others to be aware of the issues they’re facing. First and foremost, the kababs are way too dry and overcooked, almost burnt. On the other hand, the lamb chops are not cooked properly, and you can see blood coming out of them. Secondly, the music is incredibly loud, making it difficult to have a conversation. Thirdly, the air conditioning is too cold, causing everyone’s food to become cold. Lastly, the prices are way too expensive. Your guys need to do a better job with the quality of food , you started very well and now you’re just serving whatever you have
